Hi!
As many of you know, I am looking to be a Dug completist. There is the Super-duper jumbo Acme Up pin, and then there is also the Pixar party Up locket pin. It's the same exact artwork, but the Acme pin has all the balloons whereas the locket pin cuts them out. So, here's my dilemma: do I need both pins in order to be a Dug completist? Considering the artwork is the same, do they count as the same pin? Discuss. :)

As a Villains completest I would have to have BOTH pins. Art work is often recycled, BUT they did issue two separate pins IMHO. Welcome to the CURSE of being a completest lol!!

I feel like if you really want to be a TRUE completist you need both, but that's totally up to you. There's really no need to be a completist if you don't want to be. I'm also not sure if I can qualify the Acme pin as a pin, it's more on the art spectrum of things. :3

Yes I would need both ,I am a jack sparrow collector and I still need several of him to complete my collection and there's a lot out there ,I could not possibly trade or buy ...

If you need still need the Pixar pin, let me know. I picked it up in a decent trade and would be willing to trade it ... Happy to look at traders or discuss a trade ... may take me a bit to find it in my as yet unorganized pile ...

What they all said!! plus that'll help the chase become more challenging and fun. If you collected Olaf or Maui, youd be annoyed at how many times they recycle a design haha nearly every pin has the same pose xD

Thank you all for the responses! And I know deep down y'all are right. So now I'm *7* pins away from being a Dug completist. I need the Acme. I do have the vault pin-- thanks to those who offered to help me out on a trade with that one :)

Lol you are so right! I think Olaf has to have strained one side of his back given the number of times I've seen him in that same pose!

To be a completist? Yes. But to have an already awesome collection? No. At the end of the day, collect what you like! And if having two of the same scene doesn't tickle your fancy, no one can judge you for it.

Another vote for both.

Can't even count the the number of pins I have that are exactly the same art/pose but I still need them all to be complete!

Not sure if the person will trade, or what you budget is, but there is someone in one of the online FB groups selling the ACME Up pin in the "Pin Junkies" group.

As a Jessica completist who saw a lot of recycled art, I'd have to agree- both! Especially in this case, they have several unique elements that make them stand apart.

My general rule of thumb was if it was a new and different RELEASE, even if the art was recycled, it was a new pin. For APs and PPs, I just said I needed one of that release...it could be any of those categories. So I'd keep the AP if I stumbled on one, and got rid of the "normal" version.

Good luck!
