USPS to raise its prices in January 2016

One good thing is that packages up to 8 ounces is the same price ($2.60) <--that's a discounted price, not sure what it will be at the post office itself.

Wow. Why do they keep raising the prices every year. I remember when it was a lot cheaper and it didn't have all these regulations on what the contents are to what shipping service you have to have.

bumping up. Increased prices effective yesterday (why are they effective on Sundays?)

Also, it *might* only be for the commercial pricing (through PayPal shipping assistant, Stamps.com, etc.) I will go look at the USPS website shortly

Also, flat rate Express Mail boxes are gone.

My USPS Agent said Stamps.com & Pay Pal postage will no longer offer discounted postage. That is true as I made some mailing labels today. $2.60. But if Starry Solo is right (& I trust her info , u can mail up to 8 ozs for that price.

the prices quickly went up on PayPal. The only good thing about it is if you have a package that weighs 8 ounces, you still pay $2.60 through PayPal (but more through the post office)
