I am in WDW until the 29th and I am looking to trade. The tables at Epcot were taken away until January.Does anybody know any places to trade like that in WDW or Orlando or any tricks on how to sit somewhere and display on a bench.Thanks.

I wonder why they were taken away. I know when I was there in November they were still set up but I only traded with one person and got a scrapper. My friend traded someone so not sure if her's was okay or not.

Unfortunately, I don't know any places to trade since I only visit WDW once a year (sometime's twice) and only trade with cast members or on pin boards (except the once I traded with a trader this trip).

Maybe they were taken out because of the bigger crowds over the holidays? Don't know if I was just unlucky, but the last time I was there the tables were occupied every day by 2 or 3 of those traders who always want you to go buy a pin to trade.

Or in my case, a Vinylmation to trade for a pin (which I didn't do). Yeah I could see it being because of the holidays.

it must be the same "family" of people who are there when the tables are set up to trade then, because the times that I have been there and there are tables, no one EVER wants to look at my traders...they just want me to buy them pins for what they have. It takes the fun out of TRADING...you know??

They are building a permanent-looking snack kiosk right across from where the tables used to be (rumored to be a replacement for the ice cream location...as that is rumored to become a Starbucks).

I am purely speculating...but I wouldn't be surprised if the tables never returned...once that snack location opens people would probably post up at the pin trading tables with their food. Or maybe the tables will now be used for dual purposes?

They said they will be taking them away until the end of first week of January because of the large holiday crowds. I don't think that is the main reason. I think its the amount of pin sharking that was going on at the tables and the amount of complaints guest services was getting from guests. Anyways, there are much better pins anyways at the monthly pin meet at Disney Port Orleans - Riverside which meets 2nd saturday of every month from 1-5 pm at the food court of the resort. People there are much more friendlier and fair...

When we stayed at Jamba House last May there was a guy named King Pin that would show up in the shop and trade with people. We also traded with those that were standing in line.

We are staying there when we go in February (from the 4th to the 12th) so that is around the 9th. If I remember this, I will check it out.

I've run into them several times. In fact, just a few days ago I overheard someone I know I've seen there before telling someone to buy a pin if they wanted one of theirs. They were really laying it on thick, too.
