******** ebayer has a lot of pin's , OE , limited edition always at very cheap prices.

, but mostly are fake ones or scrappers. do not buy it without knowing there is a good chance you don't buy the real deal. He is from hong kong.

To be clear, the listings say he is from Hong Kong. But his pins ship from China!! I found this out the hard way. I wanted to buy new pins from HKDL and thought it would be "safe" to buy from him since he is in Hong Kong (even though I'd heard all the warnings—bad, bad Unibear!!!).

When the pins arrived, they showed up as counterfeits and the package had a 'CN' tracking number instead of an 'HK' one.
 
I purchased a pin from him and it was clearly a factory reject. The front of the pin was scratched and the doors did not line up properly. When I emailed him, he refunded my money promptly without any questions.
 
He/she is actually a really nice guy/girl. I bought a pin thinking I was getting a great deal, but after a quick check on pinpics revealed that there were fakes among us, I emailed him/her letting them know that I was a collector, could spot fakes easily, and would not be satisfied if the pin wasn't 100% authentic. He/she replied that they understood and would refund the money and not ship the pin, which was perfectly fine with me. At least they aren't passing them off on collectors, I guess.

They know exactly what they are doing, and will refund only if they are caught and called out. They have been selling so many fakes and scrappers for so long that it's not just an innocent mistake. They are willingly and knowingly selling the bad pins and passing them off as real. They are counting on people either not knowing that they are fakes/scrappers or knowing but not caring because they got the pin they wanted at a really cheap price. So in the rare instance that someone requests a refund, they are willing to process it.

I'd be willing to bet that after refunding you your money, they just turned around and relisted the pin.
 

They sell fakes, but don't make you buy it if you confront them? I don't think that qualifies them as "nice". :/ Most of the fakes sellers on eBay will refund you if you complain -- that's the only way they can keep their feedback positive.

I didn't think about that, but that's a good point. I suppose he would have had to refund my money anyway. It was just easier for him to do it now and not mail the pin to me, I guess. Either way, I won't be buying from him again. Good looking out from the OP to keep unsuspecting buyers in the loop.

It's a really bad thing for every traders who bought the REAL Anna pin at the Pin Trading Night (the 24th October) and want to trade the REAL Anna PTN pin...
We will have to show the sales receipt if we want to make a trade !!

It isn't very often that you see pins just tank when coldharbor sells them. (Like my new name for him? cold...harbor? Get it?) Anyways, the biggest drop in price I've seen is for the Pixar Mystery Box pins, but they faked those a TON, not just sold the extra production pins or scrappers.

coldharbor sells mostly scrappers. He doesn't sell bulk lots of counterfeit fake pins. He sells real pins from the real manufacturer. His pins are identical to the ones sold at Disney's store because they are identical. Often they are just overruns of DSF pins. DLRP pins are identical, not even scrappers often, but you can tell those because they don't have the edition number etched on the back. If DSF would switch to the DLRP method and start stamping the actual number of the pin on the back you could tell if it was legit or not. But I assume that eats into their profit a little for the extra step. It is require by French Law so DLRP has to do it. I'd suggest you all suggest it to the DSF staff when you go that they should stamp their pins.
