Just curious, what's the earliest you've ever lined up for a pin release, in any Disney park? I think mine was 6:00am for the DLR August 23rd, 2008 Haunted Mansion release. But I'm sure a lot of you have me beat!

Since I'm not a park local, I haven't had the opportunity to get in most pin lines. Nothing super cool comes out when I'm visiting. The only thing that would maybe count is we got in line for DL's 50th at 4AM. We proceeded into the park and into the merchandise line for the "I Was There" pin.

At DL, we used to spend all night in line (starting the afternoon before) for the Character of the month pins back in 2000.
and I can think of other times similiar, Pinbassadot pins, & other hot releases, it was the NORM.

At DSF too, we spent the night many times for their special releases.
It really was fun, got to do a lot of pin trading too, but glad we don't do that anymore!!!!

i left Pop on 10/1 around 530 545 and got to MK around a little after 6 my first time standing in line at a Park!!

prior to that was when The DS had pins and they did the count down to Milleniium series I used to get to my local mall around 630am and wait in line for store opening then a bunch of us would go get coffee and chat or trade

I was going to say that I never stood in line for a pin, but then remembered, a friend wanted a World of Color pin, we were at DCA, so into the line we went (and it took at least an hour). But that was in the afternoon at PT Flea's

8 things i remember waiting in line for

1. Disney soda fountain pin trading event 2006,2007
2. 13 weeks for 13 treats oct to Dec 2002
3. 13 treats for 5 frightful weeks Oct to Dec 2003
4. haunted mansion holiday stretching rooms pins 4 Saturdays and on Halloween 2001 in
5. America pin festival event where all the pins in the USA flag June to Aug 2003
6. the piece of history of haunted mansion Nov. 2009
7. club 33 door July 2003
8. the 50th annivery of Disneyland

First early morning for me April 2008 was 4am at wdw for the haunted mansion frame set. Don't think I've done another 4am since then.

I stood in line the day before like 1pm-ish for the LE50 Marcasite pins a couple of summers ago for the Mansion. We were asked to leave around 5 that day but none of us went too far from the area. Original Pinbassador - 1130pm the night before release. I can't remember the 50th night...it was early, but not early enough to get the pin.

DSF lines I've always lucked out getting there relatively late and being among the final people to get all the pins, every time.

Ah, the good ol days of pin trading -- when it was legitimately fun!

at NFC this year I lined up at 3:30 AM to make sure we were first in line and didnt have to wait in a long line....

of course.... noone came till like 5:30 lol oh how i missed my sleep then! lol

and disUSCney

I love your thing about it being the 10th anniversary for pin trading..... hopefully it picks back up. :)

I'M IN THIS FIGHT WITH YOU!!! lol

the aeriest was 1130 pm the night before a mansion pin release, i know it was for a le 100 framed set. we didnt need to stay the night as they gave out the wristbands in a lottery type drawing. but a bunch of us stayed over night anyway and we had fun! I miss those days!

12 AM for the DSF Nightmare Before Christmas event this last saturday. I went with my girlfriend kaitlyn. We brought sleeping bags and my easy "1 touch setup" tent, so we slept through the wait. They brought us hot cocoa in the morning and did a bunch of other things that made it worth it.

I remember the good ole days at DLR in 2009 when they let us camp out behind the parking trams, parallel to the monorail track. I guess we'd get there around 1:30-2 AM

This was one of the first times I even considered waiting a long time for a...PIN. So, four of us got a hotel room across Katella and planned to get up at *maybe* 5am or so to head over. Of course we went to DL the night before and saw everyone camped out by the tram loading/Monorail beam and there were clearly already 100+ with blankets and all. It was at that point that we realized we were not hardcore and never would be, lol.

Since then, if I wait 4 hours at DSF or DLR, it's a major rarity.

Mine has to be at 6am lining up outside the soda fountain store for the cheshire cat dressed as pins but I allready had a wristband but enjoyed chatting to a lot of people in line and making friends last October I was super excited to see what the release would be like it wasn't to busy as it was the same day release of podm lonesome ghost pin and I still managed to get this pin allso lol
