Hi Group,
I made a 3 pin trade with a trader with lots of references on Dizpins and they got their pins 5 days ago. They never sent a tracking number for me and I haven't received the pins yet. I have emailed them a day ago asking for info with no reply (they replied before the trade very quickly). Starting to think I've been burned. What should I do and how often does this happen? Starting to get really discouraged with the fakes from ebay and now this. A hobby isn't fun when people are trying to take advantage of you.

Don't panic yet, sometimes the P.O. moves very slooooowly. Also, you don't say if this is an international or domestic trade--if it's international, it could take a while, even if they got their pins already. Also, some people don't check their e-mails every single day (as opposed to people like me, who check several times per day, lol). It's the weekend, see if the trader replies after the weekend is over, at least. I hope everything works out!
 
Be patient! Some traders are just slow. I had a similar trade via PinPics earlier this month with a local trader here in southern California. The trader wanted to exchange pins at the DLR PTN. I declined, knowing how hard it is to find an unknown person inside the PTN ballroom. I mailed the pin with the tracking number, but no reply from the trader. Tracking showed the pin arrived but no email from the trader. I sent emails asking about my pin. Finally twelve days after the PTN, the pin arrived. No email from the trader when the pin was mailed nor a tracking number. The pin envelope showed that it was not mailed until ten days after the PTN. So, it wasn't the USPS' fault, but the slowness of the trader.
 

I just had a similar trade on PinPics. I just don't understand why they can't send an e-mail saying, "Hey, I'm going to be a bit delayed in shipping the pins." It doesn't bother me much if someone takes longer than me to ship, as long as they could just send a quick one sentence e-mail saying what's going on...

I do hope this works out for you, Guyver. If they have a lot of good references, I'm sure you don't have too much to worry about.

So glad to hear that you've heard back from the trader. I just had a similar experience and it is frustrating/disappointing. I agree that the least they could do is respond to your emails and let you know what is going on. Hope you get your pins soon!
