Hi everyone! I'll be at the park tomorrow (Thursday-Saturday. Staying at paradise pier for our annual summer stay. yay!), and I want to get some new pins. I'm really anxious to build my pin collection again! :anxious:

Anything new coming out, or is out already that I should look for? What's good? =)

Thanks! :

Here's the link to ODPT.com's upcoming pins page. It includes WDW, DLR, and HKDL pins, so be sure to pay attention to that.

And here's the link to the page that shows the pins that have been recently released (again, this includes WDW, DLR, and HKDL). I'm not sure how many you'll still be able to find, but you can be on the lookout, at least.

Also, how long will you be there? You may find some of the new Hidden Mickeys sprinkled on a few of the cast lanyards. Here's what to look for:

Thank you for the links pixarperils! To bad most of the ones I like aren't from DLR! lol. =/

Question, the hidden mickeys... can they only be found on the lanyards of CM's? I really like the t-shirt ones!

We will be there for 3 days =)

Yes, the Hidden Mickeys are only available on the lanyards of cast members. In fact, they used to be called "cast lanyard" pins for this reason.

A word of advice about the Dumbo piece of movie history pin: Get there as early as you possibly can tomorrow. This is the 7th pin in the most popular series that there is right now. Do your best to find one with Dumbo, even if he isn't your favorite character, because those are the ones that you will be able to make great trades for. If you can't find Dumbo, find another character, as close-up as possible, because you might find someone that just loves that character and wants a really good shot of him or her. The limit you can buy is 2, so if you are lucky enough to find 2, you should buy them both, if you can afford it. Good luck!

I had no idea about the lanyards with hidden mickeys, or the Dumbos! Thank you so much! I think Dumbo's cute (not my fave, but cute still)! So I'm going to find what I can! Those should be available wherever pins are sold then right? Even in DTD? Thanks again for your help! =)

Perhaps someone else would be able to give you better information, since I've never been to DLR.

But just in case no one answers before you have to leave, I was able to find the name of some stores that have carried the previous ones in the series. I don't know if this is all of the stores, or which ones are downtown. I also have no idea what the full names of the stores are, so pardon the abbreviations. This is how they appeared in other people's previous posts on this forum. I apologize if some of these are the same as each other, or if they are not at DLR. I've never looked for pins at WDW, so I'm not familiar with their stores either. And some people don't have their location in their posts.

~Greetings
~Fly N Buy
~WOD
~Little Green Men
~Ho

Here's the locations:

~Greetings = Greetings over California (main store in California Adventure)
~Fly N Buy = store near Soarin' Over California (again in California Adventure)
~WOD = World of Disney (Downtown Disney)
~Little Green Men (in Tomorrowland, primary pin store for new releases, inside Disneyland [you exit into there from the Buzz Lightyear ride])
~Ho (I think this is Westward Ho in Frontierland, in front of the barrels).

Another tip, I think they are doing the barrels every day (cast members at barrels outside Westward Ho from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm). If you get there early enough (maybe around 12:30 p.m.), you can stand in line for the cast members to come out (the private pin traders have to vacate 2-3 barrels when the cast members come out).

I am hoping there will be a Dumbo or two left when I go on Saturday!

In case you didn't know. On Saturday morning they are having a sale for Annual Passholders at World of Disney. Not sure you are an annual passholder but perhaps the savings would be worth upgrading your pass to an annual pass. They will have $2 pins plus your discount as well as things like $5 t-shirt, $2 novelty gifts, fleece blankets, dooney & burke items, etc... Sale starts at 6:30am Saturday but if you're going to do it you better be at Rain Forest cafe around 5am or earlier. Convenient for you staying at Paradise Pier though.

Also, never forget the pin store in Downtown Disney by the Monorail entrance. They always have LE pins longer there than in the parks for some reason. I was there last weekend and they still had a Cars 2 LE pin and the parks have been sold out for probably 3 or 4 weeks.

Do they still have the 60th LE Alice pin released on 7-7-11? If not, I've still got one for you.

They have the 60th Alice pin at the gift shop in the Grand California Hotel!!! I saw it there, and picked one up. They had like 20 left, and they are probably still there, since this was two days ago

The gift shop is in the main lobby area!
