What will it be called????

So, we all know DSF is closing and ghiridelli is taking over the ice cream section of the store. However, there will still be a DISNEY portion of the store, and that location will have the pin releases still.

So, the PTD's which they say are continuing would be GSF released.

HOWEVER, wouldn't the pin releases from the Disney side of the store still be a Disney thing? Perhaps, even though they will be in the same location there should be a different title for the distributor? Perhaps something like the Disney Store New York and San Francisco get? Disney Store Hollywood perhaps? DSH????

Thoughts? Idea's? Opinions?

The Ptd's should remain PTD's, "Pin Trader Delight", it was never named after Disney nor should it be named after Ghiardelli, just MY opinion

I was not saying PTD should be changed, just what should the distributor be called. Since PTD's will be a ghiridelli exclusive, I was thinking that should be listed as "GSF PTD" instead of "DSF PTD" that was all. Not saying they should not be "pin trader delights" because i know ghiridelli already plans to continue them.

my main concern is what will pins released from the Disney side of the store be considered? Not DSF anymore, and for the month of october, technically they are el Capitan(EC?) releases... so when Disney Store featuring Ghiridelli opens should it be a "DSG pin" or what, when they do a release????

examples for future releases: (for things like the pin database?)

• Disney Store Featuring Ghiridelli:: *DSG*
• Disney Store Hollywood:: *DSH*

(for PTD's since they would be ghiridelli exclusive) Ghiridelli Soda Fountain:: *GSF*

And what if they DID make PTD's something available at any ghiridelli located with Disney? They certainly wouldnt have the other pins from the hollywood location... So you see my concern here????

While I can appreciate the "alliance" with the legendary Ghiradelli chocolate company, it doesn't have the same ring if it's not the Disney Soda Fountain. I can find Ghiradelli's stores/soda fountains anywhere.

This brings me to a tangent, Disney did a contract with ghiridelli, and also with starbucks....

When Disneyland put a small McDonalds french Fry stand in the park folks FREAKED out. Something about killing the magic, among other things. But they go putting Starbucks and Ghiridelli shops in the parks and no-one is batting an eye???? This does actually kinda bother me. They did a pretty good job keeping the starbucks logo smallish in DCA, and combined it with a cafe/bakery type shop. But the one going in on Main St in DLR looks like it will be just a starbucks coffee shop. And the windows have the starbucks logo big and obvious painted on them from what i can see. It bothers me, but then I dont like Honda being all over the innovations center either.

sorry... back to topic. lol I have to agree, GSF or DSG doesnt have the same ring as DSF does.
