What's the pin situation in Hawaii?

Good question!
I would like to know if they do have pins are they only available to the guests that stay there or can anyone just walk into a gift shop or something and buy pins there?

I'm going to Aulani in a few weeks. Are there pin stations or anything there?

One of my friends mom works there and when I found out, I definitely inquired about pins...and she said they DO have quite a few pins!!! When she found out I collect, I guess she said she was gonna pick some up and send them to my friend for me!!! I am SO excited to see what she sends! :hsd:I will make sure to post pics when I get them!!! I wish I could GO get them though!!! Have a blast!

Hi, I live on Oahu and have visited the Aulani several times (it's GORGEOUS). They do have pins, not a ton, and mostly what you can get in the parks (rack pins, starter lanyards, etc.), plus whatever Aulani pins they have available (mostly rack pins, not LEs, so there's a decent variety).

Also, when you go into the main store (walk into the hotel lobby and go left, it's right there on your left), ask at each counter if you can look through their trade books. They don't wear lanyards in the store because (per CMs) it doesn't fit in with the "Hawaiian" theme, so they have the trade books instead.

Outside the main store is a DVC podium, the CM there always wears a lanyard. Also, if you go to your right when you enter the hotel lobby, walk all the way down and to your left, there is a DVC room and the two CMs there wear lanyards. When you go outside (straight through the hotel lobby, basically), there's a little store there (go down the steps and walk back) and they sell pins (basically the same rack pin selection) and the CM there usually wears a lanyard.

AND...when exactly are you going to be here? There is a *wonderful* group of pin traders here on Oahu, we meet once a month for PTNs. :hsd: We rotate locations, and the PTN scheduled for June is at the Aulani. The date is June 24, from 5-7 p.m., and I post the pertinent info every month in the Pin Gathering section here on DPF. We would LOVE to see you there! If you are on Facebook, the group is Oahu Ohana Disney Pin Traders, very nice group of people.

After I post this, I'll go post the info for the June 24th PTN, so you can look at that, and if you have any other questions, you can PM me, I'll be glad to give you whatever info you need.

Oh, btw...anyone can go to the hotel shops and buy anything, HOWEVER, only the first half-hour is free parking, so unless you don't mind paying (or having a meal there and they'll validate your ticket), you'd better hurry, lol. There is NO, ZIP, NADA street parking. There are three very dinky parking lots at each of the lagoons, and it's free, but they fill up EARLY and FAST.

I wih I could go to a pin trading event. I will be leaving Hawaii on the 22nd. I am going to the trading event in Dayton, OH however.

Hppefully they set up a PTN when I go in August.
Yep yep, there will be, we do have them monthly, and I will *definitely* post the info as soon as I find out (I think I will be getting the info for the next few months' PTNs at the June one, if I remember correctly).

King Niptune, sorry you're going to miss our June PTN! But definitely go over there and look at the hotel, it's beautiful! And for pins, of course.

I'm actually lucky enough to stay in the hotel! My uncle is a DVC member there.
