What's your limit?

^This is me also. It's just a hobby, not a need.

I recently bought the set of 4 UP pins from Valentines Day 2011 for $300 which works out to be about $75 per pin. That's the most I have ever spent on a pin but I feel like it's worth every penny because I love Carl and Ellie and I know their pins are hard to come by.

I love the SHAG Haunted Mansion pins...luckily they're not as expensive.

I don't have them believe it or not, but have a serigraph, two prints I had signed by him, the ears, postcard, and tshirt he did of HM. I went to the artist signing and the pins were already sold out and I've never seen them in person. I check for a cheap set almost daily and know one will pop up someday. Or if anyone has it for trade/sale, I'm interested.

I've spent so long trading and avoiding actually buying new pins that I can't actually remember the most I ever paid, because when I paid, it was for quantity to make it seem like less was being spent for each individual pin, lol. Probably less than $40 for any single pin but that could be a little higher. Most at once was about $400 but that for somewhere between 150-175 pins all told, though not all Disney as my collection goes beyond just Disney. My bonus is that I have no real grails, as I like far too many things to want any in particular, lol.

did I mention I am one of those people whom thought 100 for a pin would -never- happen? At least I haven't caved on designer princess mulan...yet.

Yet being the key word. I almost caved on the Designer Queen this week but could not justify spending over $100 for a pin. I have made a deal with myself once I get a full time job and my student loans are paid off I will shell out the cash to buy the Designer Snow White (I don't even want to think about how much that pin will be going for at least 3 years from now) pin/doll, Designer Evil Queen pin/doll, and the 17" Collector Snow White (the price tag on that doll will seriously give me a heart attack).

That is one pin that I really want, but can't seem to bring myself to pay around $100 for it. So, I guess around $ is my limit for most pins, although I've spent more for some framed/resin sets.
