Previously, I have heard and seen pins at the parks before the actual "release date" on disneyparksmerchandise.com, and was wondering about how early they put out the pins sometimes. I was looking forward to purchase at lease part of the TLM Character Connection set, but I found that the release date was a little ahead of the time I go to DLR (I'm going at around the end of June/beginning of July, and the release is supposedly on the 24th of July)...


I want to know what you think: If the set is released even earlier at all, when do you think it will be at it's earliest? Do you think I would be able to buy it there? If not, how should I go about getting this set (My parents, as I've learned, don't really like me trading pins over mail because I have to share my address, and they have safety concerns; plus I'm not able to buy over the web)? Suggestions at all?

I think a week ahead is possible, I don't think 3 weeks is going to happen.

If you are not allowed to buy online nor to trade, I think it is impossible to get it unless you are very close to the park. I have no idea where you live, near DLR ? maybe you can find someone near you to get you some at cost in the parks and you can trade/buy in person.
 
Is that set Limited Release (or Limited Edition)? If so, it should be released on the date set on their webpage. Generally speaking, open edition pins are the only pins that can fluctuate on a release date (that is, they set a date online, but it may be released earlier). Limited release or limited edition pins are rarely ever released earlier.
 
I could try to occasionally trade as long as I can get one of my friends to possibly mail it for me... Otherwise, I probably can't... And I don't live near the parks... Oh well. Thanks for trying to help though- I appreciate it!

Yes, the set (I believe) is Limited Edition of 900...? Plus the chasers of each LE 600! So I'm guessing that I won't be able to get these then... however, I believe that I can try to get the Lion King pins (if they don't run out!).

And I just found another TLM pin this... July. Why is DLR being so mean to me? :

I am sorry your parents are weary of your trading, but I am sure it is out of concern for your safety... If their concern is about you giving out a mailing address which may be your home residence then perhaps you may ask if they can receive your packages at their work for you... Or perhaps an arrangement with one member they can trust... I hope you can figure something out as this is(at most times...lol) a great hobby with great people... I still have a package to send you, but I am hoping my last one wasn't the package that got you in trouble in the first place... Ugh... let me know if I can still mail it...
 
No- It's completely fine. It was a package that my mom found me asking about mailing with our address on it in the top left corner that my parents got weary of... Thanks for asking though! For now, my mom and dad just don't really want me "tangled" up in all this mess of sending packages, as they feel uncomfortable of me getting involved with strangers that "might be untrustworthy"- however, I do believe that all of you on here are quite the nice group, and I will stay on here for the time being and continue to interact with members/possibly try to exchange pins through other methods! I will definitely try to meet some DPF members this summer when my family and I go down to DLR and possibly even DSF~ Thanks for thinking of me, though- I'm really glad that people on here care about me~

Sorry for the late reply- I was in art class these past four and a half hours..... I don't believe that it was our trade- I think that it was just seeing me wrapping up pins and putting them in packages that made my parents snap.... However, my dad says that he's fine with me liking and purchasing pins occasionally, though.
