When to give up on a collection?
I am 12 pins away from being a Figment completist. Two are the magic band Hidden Mickeys from 2014 Wave B so really it's just 10, all really tough to find.

Sometimes I wonder: "what will I do if I finally get them all?" And sometimes I even wonder: "why have I even collected all of these???"

The answer is that your collection exists to make you happy. If it isn't making you happy, you're collecting for the wrong reasons and possibly burning yourself out in the process. Like a lot of people have already said, most of the enjoyment of collecting comes from the thrill of the hunt, and not as much from pride of ownership. If you aren't enjoying the hunt, perhaps you need to re-think what you're collecting so it becomes fun again. If you just can't find a topic or theme that isn't overwhelming you, at that point, yes, it might be wise to take stock and maybe get out of pin trading. :|

Like gambling, pin trading should be a fun pastime, but unfortunately many people can get carried away with it.

Again, thank you all for the advice and input. Makes me feel better and not want to abandon the search, just slow it down and be patient (easier said than done). I decided to look at smaller side collections and keep an eye out for my higher wants, but not desperately look for them, which can definitely burn you out.
