Worthpoint Question!

Does anyone have a subscription to worthpoint and can offer some advice. I may be selling some traders soon and I wanted to see how good of a resource it could be. Some of them are older pins that don’t have a sold listing on eBay so having a price guide would really help.

My question is more about the cost and the amount of searches you can make… is it a flat monthly fee for an unlimited amount of searches or do they cap you at a certain amount.

I've never heard of Worthpoint before that i can recall. Just my two cents but I doubt it would be of much extra help as most of the information on the sale of pins that would be available to a group like that is publically available listings from ebay.

I just did a quick search on worthpoint and all its showing is 99.9% Ebay listings. Which you should be able to find on Ebay for free. Hopefully someone who uses worthpoint can chime in and give you more helpful info than my guessing though

My understanding is that a lot of info is from ebay, but ebay only stores the sale info for six months. Worthpoint saves the information from ebay and other sources. You can see when and where the pins were sold for free. To know how much is for paying customers only.

Hi, Michael! One of the Admins on the militaria forum I'm on has a Worthpoint account (I've had him look up prices of some pins before, too!) and I'll ask him. I know he's had it for a while.

OK . . . he answered! He gets the year sub since it is cheaper, so can't help with monthly, but he knows of no limits for the year, as he's never run into any!

Worthpoint does not sell the pins. It allows the user to see quantity sold, and when it sold. It allows the paying user to see the above information and the sale price.

I split a Worthpoint login with a bunch of other pin pals (highly recommend doing it this way if someone if willing to front the year subscription and get reimbursed; we all chip in like $15 a year). I have not run in to any kind of limit of searches. I have found it quite useful especially for older pins. But there are of course a lot that don't have sales or haven't sold in 10 years. But I have found it a really useful starting point.

I believe eBay only stores them for 90 days, not 6 months so anything older than 91 days, a worthpoint subscription will be worth it.

They changed this year, and now I don't think they even do 90 days! It is super short. And the longest kept ones are only "sold" . . . so you can't see what was unsold. So, it is very short!

My only qualm with the website so far has been that I can’t differentiate on whether something sold “at auction” or “buy it now” but it’s really nice to be able to see sold listings for some of my older pins.

I don’t think I’d be needing it for longer than a month, but maybe interested parties can start a co-op of sorts to figure out a yearly subscription?

Guys, I found out that you may be able to get a similar service for free via ebay, via your seller page.

If you go under research on your seller hub, select first option Terapeak.
Then put in the time frame up to 365 days. You can sort the data by latest to earliest when listed.

However, I have no idea how to find the seller hub.
