Disney Princess Designer Collection DOLLS --- NOW WITH PICTURES PAGE 3! ---
okay so I was just looking through ebay and I can't tell you how many sellers have over 2 of the same dolls....wow!

hey guys! looks like they are going to delay the next princess...hopefully this is for the best, and everyone has a fair shot of getting one!!!

http://blog.disneystore.com/
Due to the overwhelming demand for the Disney Princess Designer Doll Collection, DisneyStore.com experienced a system malfunction and the limited edition Snow White doll was oversold. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and recognize that this did not meet the high quality guest service that our Guests have come to expect from Disney Store. To ensure a Magical guest experience in the future, we have delayed the release of the next Designer Doll, as we reevaluate our process to ensure that all guests have a fair opportunity to purchase these highly coveted dolls. Please check blog.disneystore.com and Facebook.com/disneystore and we will provide an update on the new release schedule by Friday, September 23. On behalf of the Disney Store team, we thank you for your continued support.

I hope they limit it to 1 per guest. And I hope they cancel multiple orders from this morning. I ordered my 2 only.
And I hope that all of you guys got in soon enough to get your dolls.

WOW! I gotta call BS on that comment. Ridiculous. DS has high quality guest services?? LOL They said that like this never happens. I can see getting the reject email now for sure.

on another note... called to have a chat with my buddy out at the ds today after lunch. He said it was horrible this morning. By 8:30 there were 30 people in line. He went out to hand out tickets. The first 5 people spoke for all 8 dolls they had. Then some woman comes barging into the line saying they were supposed to be holding her FOUR dolls which caused a huge uproar. He quickly shot her down and sent her on her way. People were mad. Those first 5 people who were in line... guess what they did with the 8 dolls. They sat outside the mall with them selling them all to everyone who missed them b/c of them. He was ticked to find out this happened and said next week when they show up he will ask them to leave and refuse to sell them the dolls. So glad he was on top of this. He said he could not stand to see what was going on over these dolls and he wanted to make sure they really got in collectors hands. I told him the only other one I am after is Rapunzel. He said to be in line at 8:30 for her and he will do his absolute best to get her in my hands and he hated they could not hold them any longer for the people he knew really wanted to collect them and not sit outside the mall selling them. I am so glad I did not go down there this morning. I think I would have been in tears to see all that, esp after a night of no sleep. ;)

Do you mind telling me which mall this was at? Please PM if you don't want to post here.

so definitely hope they just change the limit to 1 doll or just make more (I know kills the whole limited edition thing, BUT I just want to complete my set to hang up). Sooooo pretty must have lol

Hi everyone!
Does anybody know what; closed but not shipped means on the Order history?! I stayed up all night to complete the order after 2 crashes I was able to orde and received mu first Order confirmation just not a shipping confirmation yet?! I realized that Disney did not deduct any fees from the account yet there is a hold for $0.00 does that mean I will not be getting my order?

What is the time stamp on your order confirmation email? It is in the body of the email in the upper right.
Yeah, I think if it is closed without shipping then it has probably been cancelled. :(

Has anyone gotten a "Sorry Charlie" email yet? My order status says not shipped, but I haven't gotten a "no" email yet. Fingers crossed! Snow White is my least favorite princess, but I think she's the most beautiful doll of the 10 and the only one i wanted!

Wow...he should have reported them to Mall security. I mean, for them to actually grab the shoppers they wanted, they would have had to be at *least* in the parking lot, which means they were selling illegally on mall property (or trespassing). Malls don't allow that stuff...their vendors pay good money for rent...people can't just come in and SELL stuff randomly.

1:01:41 is kind of late unfortunately. I am afraid it has been cancelled. You can call them and ask.

As for shipping, my previous order took almost 5 days to ship. I think as long as it says ACTIVE you are probably okay.

But I am not too familiar with the ordering. I don't spend too much at disneystore.com

Maybe some other members who have more experience can help here.

Karkura,

thank you. that is what I figured! I was too scared to call, did not want to hear the bad news. How sad!

Hi everyone! Just wanting to say hello as a new member
The princess collection is the first thing that I've started to collect.
They are so beautiful! I hope that we all get the upcoming dolls but I am afraid
Every week the crowd has gotten bigger and bigger at my store.

May I ask how much the dolls that were being sold in the parking lot went for? I know they're going for more than $300 on ebay and I'm assuming that most of the ones that have sold, the person doesn't even have the doll yet.

It is a shame that items that should bring so much joy seem to bring so much anguish in trying to obtain them. Well, let's hope the Disney Store does get their act together for the second half of this doll series, though other than limiting the orders to 1 doll per order (which would only slow down the rapid sell out and does not really eliminate the core problems of the existing issues), I really don't see how they can "fix" the problem. The servers will still get overloaded. The hoarders will still place multiple orders. And we, the collectors, will still have to consider ourselves "lucky" to even get a doll. Though I am all for there being a limit to the number of dolls issued per household or credit card, they would really have to come up with a fancy program to quickly identify and elimiate those multiple orders. I just don't see that happening. They can't even control how distribution is going on at the retail stores with less than 20 dolls at a time.

Any thoughts? Maybe if we, the consumers, can find some alternate solutions and present them to the Disney Store, maybe they could implement those ideas? They said that an update would happen sometime by this Friday. Here is our chance to have a voice.

Hi everyone..im newbie here, and im a huge disney fan!! I must say im stressing out trying to get these dolls . I really hope my orders went through. my tummy hurts thinking about we still have 5 more weeks of sleepless nights and disappointment. im nervous waiting what disney comes up with..hopefully they r not gonna delay too long....sigh..glad that i get that out of my chest..hufffff*

FYI PEOPLE: Since they're delaying the schedule for the next doll, they might either:

A) Change the Edition Sizes for the next 5 dolls
B) Limit it to 1 per person
C) Hopefully get their server for the Disney Site revamped so it can handle everyone buying at the same time (I swear it was like a Concert, or Comic Con tickets)

If Disney Store decides to go with option (A) then all the dolls that have been released so far will go up in Value because if the Edition sizes are more than 8000 than that's over the LE size of the last 5 dolls. The most rare would then be Snow White (LE 6000) and Mulan (LE 6000), and the rarest is the D23 Disney Store 25th Anniversary Silver Cinderella (LE 250). Just letting people know that if you got the first five dolls, or 6 dolls and Disney decides to go with that plan then yes your dolls will be much more valuable. :D

This Snow White release is definitely a wake-up call to Disney. I feel like every Sunday/Monday is Black Friday all over again.

As a CM, we get asked to share our thoughts, opinions, and suggestions on how the company can improve their guest services, product quality, etc. etc. They usually do this weekly...but we are always asked anytime around a big-time release limited edition product and/or any in-store events. So I have been pretty active regarding releases like this. The company does listen, so I encourage everyone to speak up.

I have been super-stressed out during this whole event because I already know what to expect.

The distribution of dolls have not been fair at all. I understand this is something that's supposed to target the adult guests and serious collectors, but it has targeted a lot of the wrong people therefore creating this nightmare.

This is a learning experience for Disney. They should be discussing their new game plan and release what they come up with soon. If any changes are going to be made for the dolls, they most likely will change the limit per guest. Which is a good thing, it will keep people from buying doubles, but it can also be a bad thing for those who actually are buying an extra for someone else.

Hi everyone, I'm also a newbie, but a long time reader.

I share everyone's sentiment. I've always loved the Disney Princess line. I randomly enter the Disney Store to see what Disney Princess dolls that they have and have crossed my fingers hoping they'd have a more sophisticated collectible version of the Disney Princesses. Three weeks ago, for my birthday, I once again went into the Disney Store with this same hope and to my amazement and joy the Disney Store had their Designer Princess Collection. This is something I have always hoped and pined for. I was so excited about the dolls and had my eyes set on Ariel, Snow White, Tiana, and Rapunzel.

It truly breaks my heart to see people who want the dolls to collect, treasure, and love, only to lose it to someone who could care less about Disney and all that Disney represents. I'm so sorry that so many of you have been anguished by all of this. Hopefully Disney will figure something out to tame the madness.

I guess to get the dolls we love, we'll just have to get up at 5am to get a spot in line- I'll bring the coffee :)

Take Care Everyone!:)

I think the biggest issue is how the stores are handling their lines. Those are some crazy stories about cutting and reselling at the Mall. But what are the chances that Disney will pay a cast member to watch the line from the time the mall opens? If would surely help but to Disney as long as they sell out they are happy. Having been to Comic Con I've seen how the big companies handle the lines, scalpers or collectors they are still getting their money. Its sad. I hope all who ordered the dolls get them.
