2024 Pin Discussion & Pin Releases 💬

I love Palm pins. So far the quality of everything I’ve received is great.
Loungefly releases just as many pins. Their quality is not as good but their price points are more affordable and edition sizes more accessible. And Loungefly loves Stitch and Fab 5, so I tend to be safer with their releases.
Palm has been releasing a lot of SB, AIW, and Aristocats lately. Which we know are very popular. It makes it hard (expensive) for those of us that collect any of those characters/themes. And if we miss the release, secondary pricing is out of control right now.
It would be great if they released a few other movies/characters too so my wallet can have a break. I hate putting that out in the universe 😂
Because then we’ll never see any more SB pins.
And I really do love their SB pins.

I have heard their quality is good. And for that I'm thankful.

My bigger problem is their business model of "impulse" live sale and GWP freebies. "Spend $150 and get this exclusive SB pin of Aurora and Maleficent"

But 5 days later, you can buy just that SB pin for $12 outright.

These new "unreleased" Alice mysteries that just came out if you buy something from the live sale? I'm sure we will see them for sale in a week.

The whole system is just a bit sharky for me. And the HYPER focus on just three movies is for sure exhausting.

I am rarely one to complain. Sincerely. But I just felt like Palm hit the scene and turned the dial up to 12 for both cost and quantity hahah! They just need to simmer down a bit.

The difference between Loungefly dropping too many pins (which they do) and PALM is Loungefly pins are $10 each and open edition. They're not making special sparkle edition $250 sets. Nor, to Loungefly's credit, do they use the same artwork every other week for a pin release.

As @MerlinEmrys noted, PALM's releases feel sharky rather than just excessive.

I wonder why Alice. And I wish DSSH would do a similarly themed event.
Disneyland Paris announced a new show named Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland for may 25th.

The show will replace Moteurs, action! stunt Show Spectacular and will include BMX (???)

@Jabberwocky . It’s not Palm
Yeah, I already having my begging face on to friends. :D

Paris does a lot of Alice pins, but A) they're the closest park in proximity to her home, the UK B) they have an Alice Maze attraction and C) as noted, there's a horrifying new show coming that is the worst idea ever in Disney history. :p

Seriously, people, don't look. Whoever came up with that idea must've taken a big hit from the Caterpillar's hookah! :p

Okay. I intend to make good on my word of counting Palm pin drops in May.

BUT! In order to do that, I needed a spreadsheet. And in order to do it right, I might as well do it for the year. And for everything.
