I don't know if you've seen the talk on Facebook, but there are issues with the boxed set. The pins are attached to plastic strips which are attached to the box. It's supposed to give the impression of Alice falling through space. But the weight of the pin hanging in air, is causing stress at the attachment point, and the printed image to rip away from the outer box. Disneyland apparently stopped selling them altogether because of the damage. So I would recommend that you remove the pins from the plastic during shipping, to prevent any further or potential damage.

Yup... Sure enough. Just checked the two that I picked up. I'll send you two pictures. But it looks like it's across the board. They look repairable, to a point. The pins themselves are fine.

Since DL pulled theirs, these will probably become HTF quickly. If someone has one that has torn away, I would recommend getting a Scrapbook supply product called a Zig glue pen. You should be able to use it to reglue the affected area to the back without causing wrinkling to the image. Hopefully, the glue will be strong enough, otherwise someone might have to investigate stronger wet glues used in crafts.

My only other thought is: Kmeakin, do you want to split the cost of one box and you take one of my Queens? It's not much but it would get you one more pin at "retail" that's guaranteed not to be a dupe. No worries if that doesn't interest you but I figured I'd ask.

But if you have a way to get another one (that I didn't receive yet) at cost, sign me up! And if the concealed one that you get with it is one you already have, can I have first dibs at it, if you're not keeping it (assuming I don't have it either)?
Also, don't tar and feather me or anything, but I plan on removing the pins to frame with all my other Alice pins. So, that said, for the Alice down the rabbit hole set, as long as the PINS are fine, I'm okay to receive one with a damaged cardboard background. Keep a pristine one for someone who wants to keep it that way

I don't need any pickups, but if my extras are needed to help complete sets, my Dad lives in Winter Garden so maybe he could meet at Disney Springs or somewhere to swap out pins too. I'm in talks with Disney to have his name spelled out in fireworks across the Lake Buena Vista sky tonight. =) He is most definitely deserving of a standing ovation ... at the very least.

YES!! Absolutely!! I don't live anywhere near any parks, so my only way to get pins is here or eBay. eBay is so risky because of scrappers, or hugely overpriced pins... getting these pins almost-direct from Disney at retail price is literally a dream for me!!! <3

Side note: i have been away from this forum for a loooooong time (over a year, i think? maybe two? i have a terrible sense of time). Not for any reason, just that i have a 3 year old and a 5 year old and i just don't have as much time as i used to. But i've really missed it! I didn't even know that these Alice pins were going to be released, i just discovered them on eBay this morning. I came here to this wonderful forum to see if i could get a better price, and lo and behold, i managed to get almost all of them at almost exactly retail price! Incredible! And why? Because one amazing member just felt like being nice. How incredible is that? What an awesome little community to be a part of

I lived in Georgia and then Mississippi when I was first starting out, so I too had to rely on evil Bay or snagging deals/trades here on the forum and pinpics. But when my boyfriend told me he got a job outside of Tampa and we moved to Florida, the first thing I did was get a pass. Very soon, after I got used to the release schedule (and, you know, found a job), I wanted to start paying back all the good fortune I've received here and I saw Speezard's DLR pickup, I knew that was it! And, well, the rest is history. XD

So don't just thank me, thank everyone who's ever made a deal, super good trade, zapped, or just been there for support for someone in this community. Because that's why we all do it. :3 cause DPF is the best! <3
