We've had some questions about the upcoming Vinylmation™ Figures being released on November 9 at the new Disney Store at Times Square in New York City. Here are some answers.
The Statue of Minnie Liberty 3-inch figure is a limited release item. It has a retail of $12.95 and there will be a purchase limit of five (5) figures, per guest, per day.
Two of the 9-inch figures will be limited release. The "Hey Taxi!" 9-inch figure (seen yesterday) will have a retail of $44.95 and there will be a purchase limit of two (2) figures, per guest, per day. The "New York, New York" figure (as seen below) will also have a retail of $44.95. There will also be a purchase limit of two (2) figures, per guest, per day.
The final figure is limited edition figure an edition size of 1540. It will be an individually numbered figure. Why 1540? That is the street address for the new location in Times Square. This figure will have a retail of $49.95 and guests may purchase a maximum of two (2) figures, per guest, per day. Tune in tomorrow as we'll share a first look at the final figure named "Graffiti." It's pretty sweet!
These figures were created specifically for the Times Square location. They will not be sold at Disney Parks, nor will they be offered on the Disney Parks on-line store (in case you were wondering). You have to visit New York City (and who doesn't want to do that?).
And now, here is a look at the front and back of the second 9-inch limited release figure titled "New York, New York." Disney artist Jim Valeri (who also designed the "Hey, Taxi!" figure) created quite the love letter to New York City and all of its famous boroughs and icons. It is certainly "representin'" the NYC! We can't find the words to describe just how stellar the figure looks in person. The high-gloss finish makes it pop! We think you will love it!
We also have an update on the one-of-a-kind figure that was created by Adrianne Draude (see: "Boo To You"). It will be released tomorrow, October 29 at the D-Street at Downtown Disney® WestSide in Florida. The figure has a retail of $1,200 and it is truly spectacular (perfect for Halloween this weekend!).
