Help with Pricing a Gomes Prototype?
I'm in discussions to sell pin #50144, which is a prototype of #35418 (Disney Auctions - Elisabete Gomes - Nightmare - Zero). My buyer and I are agreed on a value of $350 for #35418, so the question is: what is #50144 worth? The prototype for this particular pin is smaller, at 2" rather than 2 1/2", but rarer. Pinpics doesn't say how many were released, but I think the usual number was 4. I think Disney generally sold the prototypes at a premium. (Some of our long-time collectors might be able to correct me on some of these details - ?)
I've noticed that Gomes prototypes usually list for higher prices on that auction site, but I can't find enough completed sales to get a good idea of the value of a prototype relative to the eventual pin.
...so I'm looking for some advice: if #35418 is worth $350, what is prototype #50144 worth?
