I have a question for you.

So I have not been trading/collecting for to long, maybe six months now so bear with me if this is a no brainer. I had a trade today that made me pause for a moment. Most of the Aladdin PODM's I have seen here on the forum or on eBay have Aladdin or Jasmine in it. I had never seen one before with Genie. Is this a common cell scene? I cannot find them anywhere on the net for pin comparison. Any assistance would be appreciated since I did not attend this PODM release.

It looks to me like they may have replaced the cell in the pin. There's actually a debate about this sort of thing going on in Disney Pin Discussion right now. Where does one draw the line between repurposing damaged pins (specifically PODMS with errors) for personal enjoyment and counterfeiting? I'd explain it all myself, but reading the thread would do better justice than I could

There were pins with the Genie, not as common but yes they do exist

If I am correct from what I herd, they use 12 different scenes, you know who to ask Goofy-Moe they try to collect all the scenes, and have many, thier knowledge is great! even if you just check out thier site. But in my opinion, I have never seen that scene anywhere, if it is legit all I have to say is wow cool scene!

I have also seen Genie holding a "winner" sign I believe, Moe would definitely be the best one to check with though!

A friend of mine had one for trade that looked like this:

And I also saw one at the parks of Aladdin and Genie hugging.

Wow, the hugging scene would really be a great one to own, grail status. Now, were Genie scenes more rare then the ones currently on eBay?

Yes Angel, there were a few Genie Scenes and a few Abu scenes...

You caught a wonderful scene, as many of the Genie are him alone...

Very rare one with Aladdin as well...

Thank you. I just have never seen a Genie cell so when when this trade presented itself...well lets just say many of us would jump on the opportunity for a rarer scene or at least to upgrade their PODMs.

I have the Genie with the Truth sign! A special person on this site sold it to me at cost when a "friend" sold mine without telling me.

One friends are just so special!

anyway, mine was not tampered with. So yes there are film strips with the Genie.

I saw one of these on Ebay that had almost the identical scene... not sure if that information helps or hinders. New to this, just trying to offer what I know. Good luck!!!

The one with Al just after he rescues him (yours)
the one of them hugging.
The TRUTH sign.

Oh wow, I wish I could see it from the cell perspective. I would surely trade/buy that specific scene. Sure like the less seen cell scenes.
