It was nice to meet (again) Angel & Alanna (Pin-A-Colada), Lanny (LANNYard), Matt (ArielSkellington), Moe & Rebecca (Goofy Moe), Garret & Maggie (gis), Melissa (Mali87), Ejangabang, Dawny, Aragorn, Lenny, Thelma & Rick (thel91), Karin (chickenlittle) and, of course, Stu (Disneypin99)

and then to meet, for the first time:
David (docfish2u), Kristin (disneycrazee), Al (buckout), Janice (Jrndsmom), Marisa & Sebe (beetingu), Ozzie (Ozzie1988)

and more whose names I have forgotten for the time being.

Oh, and before we went to Marisa's, we stopped off at Frank & Son's, where we found out about the darn Jessica surprise release! :p We met Dan (Disneyland Dan), whom sis painted for, and Kilian (kiljoy667) there at one of the booths (Melinda's, I believe). We also ran into Josh (of My D Pins). It was our first time at Frank & Son's and boy, was it crowded! :p

Yes it is!! and I still want to know how they float like that, is there clear plastic holding them up or what? Is there a mickey backing sealed in there too or is it just the post? Can anyone answer these burning questions I have?!

I should have taken pictures of it but it had a gold backs on the pins, not the mickey backs.

I had a ball I wish I could have stayed longer but Dakota needed sleep lol next time I will try and stay longer haha
 
Thanks for having all of us guys! We wished we would have came sooner (darn work) and got to meet the majority of all the pin traders (and trade with you all!!) but we had a blast with the rest of the people that stayed extra late. :)
 
We had an amazing pin weekend and I will be posting a separate post with all of the individual pins but wanted to post what we got here :)

First of all Brian walked in the door with this lanyard and a goal of trading for some pins to fill it.

Disneypins99 aka Stuart took this as his personal challenge - and anyone that knows him knows that this is not to be taken lightly. After a night of trading this is what Brian's lanyard looked like, A huge thanks to Disneypins99, jroxfoo, Gis, and everyone else who's pins were snatched for making this happen! We sent out a couple of trade requests and thanks to SuzanneB that we met here also we have the Sugar Rush set on it's way as well! AMAZING! See next post to find out how in 24 hours Brian went from One Wreck it Ralph pin to DONE

I was also ZAPPED ! Aragorn broke the no zap back rule of mine and gave me this beautiful Tink pin set and Nathan95 zapped me with these adorable vinylmation, Docfish gave me an awesome DPF Peter Pan nametag button. and Disneypins99 gave me the cutest Tink & Peter pin. I was one lucky girl

I so wish I could have been there. Once May is done we need to have another pin night so that I can come because I'll be done with school and be able to ask for other days off from work because I'll be more available other days.. :D

What an awesome time and amazing hosts... Thank you soo much for holding this event we truly had a wonderful time...

So happy to read all the amazing post above about trades and zaps...

I have some to share as well...

I didn't have time to do trading as I am social butterfly and spend the whole time talking to friends since that is what this hobby is all about to me...

But I did receive several wonderful zaps while at the party...

First off I recieved the cutest tiniest little Belle in a blue dressing from Aragorn... Straight to my lanyard it went... Lol...

Then I received some great ice cream character pins from the grail slayer himself David... I just decided to collective cream teamed pins as a side collection... Lol... As if we don't collect enough already...

Next was an awesome Maurice pin from the super sweet BryanaG whom we finally met for the first time and could not have been more impressed with how nice her and her husband Matt are...

But there was one moment that brought me to tears and they flowed for a while!!!!

I have never in all of our years of trading seen such am amazing gesture of kindness.... Never ever!!!

Rick and Thel (thel91) pulled me aside and said that for the many wonderful things I have done they wanted to do something for me in return... They opened one of their several pin books to a section of georgous Belle pins...
they said to me to pick any pin out that I wanted and it was mine... My jaw dropped open... It took my all of one second before my eyes locked on a pin and the tears began to flow... Are you serious I asked them?? They said absolutely they were serious... I didnt even look at all the pins on those pages when I saw a Blue Dressed Belle pin holding chip and quickly pointed and asked may I have that one... They pulled it out and the tears continued to flow... I said I had no idea that you as a Belle collector had soo many doubles available to trade... And that's when they told me that these were not their traders, but their personal collection that they wanted me to choose from... I said I couldn't accept it, but they insisted on it... Who does that??? Says here take any pin out of our personal collection that would like and it's yours... This was a step beyond anything I have ever experienced in pin trading and I am still completely blown away by it... You guys are what we all should aspire to be like in this amazing hobby of ours... I love you both to death and you are soo on my payback list... Lol...

Anyway as you can see the night was amazing and the people were even more so...

Thank you all for the amazing night...
 
HEYYYYYYYYYYYY. oH MY GOSH WHAT A BLAST! So grea to put names with faces! Time literally FLEW....i made it a point to try and meet and talk to everyone and David steller idea on the DPF name tags which helped so much. I laughed so hard with busting all your tight *** (infraction) trading LOL--=but did get some nie trades with Nathan (yo dude thanks for the hidous picture you shared--im gonna kick you) and Aragorn got me the whole Mr Toad ride scenes set (love you). I met kris_grandma aka Connie, who is a doll. Psycho Pixie and i finally chattted and her awesome husband. Laughed with my "west coast boys" Diago and Wholeo--to funny our 3some in the laundryroom! nevermind
anyway i can go on and on--i met Moe's wife who is my twin..had a super wine tasting wth Lenny and Joey the PINTRADERS and of course marissa (this old lady got home ok) oh and btw it was all the OLD peopple who mad it past midnight!!!
My girl Janice and i had a blast all weekend and like Moe said i also had more fun socializing and cutting up than trading.

David zapped me all vacation, i got to really get to know Amy and she is rockin (david you are so lucky) I know im leaving a bunch a fun stuff out but i made a point to hug as many people as possible--that how i roll! I feel so blessed and have nothing but happy memories and ahang over to reflect on. LOVE YOU GUYS--

oh HI LI--come to NYC soon and i got to hug Thel and chat with Lisa and my girl Byrana--oh my gosh can you tell i have a great trip..here r 2 pics from the park on friday when i had lunch with the sexy Prince Eric! Janice has all the other photos POST THEM GIRL!

We thought that was DisneyDan! as we were leaving Frank and Sons we saw a vehicle with plates that spelled out Disney Dan! I stuck my hand out the window and waved! but we were all driving, and even if he saw he would not have had an idea since weve never met.
 
I had a great time last week at DL. I really wanted to do more trading but the looks and sighs from the family kept me from doing so. :lol:

I am so happy that I got to meet so many people from DPf. Thanks to all I met and made our visit to be a memorable one. I hope we can do it again some time!
 
All I know is I saw 3 suspects come out of the laundry room with the lights out and one had a wine bottle between their legs, and everyone looked "suspect" lol! what really went on in their hmmmm, what kind of pin trading???? giggle
