I don't think the allocation will change from what the stores previously received - especially since the stores already have the dolls in their storerooms. Part of the "wait until Oct 17" is to make sure the store cast members are properly trained for the release and special work schedule set up and the Memphis warehouse has done an inventory so the correct numbers get entered into the system to minimize gross over-sell (I still expect there will be a few "sorry" emails) and all of the pre-sells are taken care of. The Facebook page said they would let eveyone know the release time for online ahead of time (which should be a worldwide release time - just like they have done for the first 5 Designer Princesses).
 
Wow! I just got back in town and talked with a friend of mine who got an "I am sorry but ...." email from DS regarding her Snow White order and then low and behold, what appeared on her porch on Friday??????

..... her Snow White order!

How could this have happened? Do you think she is the only one or will there be others with special deliveries on their porches tomorrow? We are in Memphis (where the Disney distribution center is located) so I have to wonder if we will hear of other situations like this in a day or two. CRAZY !!!!

Hi everyone,

I would HIGHLY recommend keeping all discussions regarding what time you plan on arriving at the stores to Private Messaging ONLY!!! As we all know, this thread has attracted a lot of "guests" and while we enjoy new members, what we don't want is them using this information to beat us. If you post that you are going to arrive at 9 a.m. guess what time everyone else is planning on arriving? 8:30! Keep on discussing, but try not to provide too much information publicly because ANYONE could be reading.

Just a friendly suggestion...carry on. :)
 
I hope it won't be to crazy and that we can all get the rest of the dolls we want! And I hope when the put them up online, that they put them up early in the a.m. As it will be hard to get them, if they get put on latter in the day. As I will be at work. I am just hoping I can get the one I really want, I wish it was october already. But then I don't, so I will have more money saved up!

Extremely true...but it's already done....everyone knows to get there early- sharks know all too well, possibly more so than us innocents.

That is so true. At the small store where I go, they even brought carts to take the merchandise out to their cars. My mall doesn't open the doors until 9:30 so there will be crowds outside the door and then the race to the store. Maybe I'll hire a young track star to run for me to the store:)
 
I placed my order for SW last Monday at 12:49 am PDT and then on Monday received the dreaded "sorry" email. Since then I have been waiting patiently for DS to reverse my PayPal payment which has been "pending" for a week. I find it hard to believe that the doll might still show up. Maybe I will call them again. sigh...

Question- for those of you who are displaying them, how are you storing the cardboard sleeves that go over the case? I'm afraid of bending them. Maybe if I unfold them and store them on a shelf?

I gently slide my box to snow white in the smaller box she cam in top going toward the bottom and then closed the box and but it on my top shelf of my closet. That or you could display it beside the doll.

If my husband can get off work we plan on making the over four hour drive to Atlanta. Which one do you go to? Do you know what time they open for Mall Walkers. I just hope my husband can get off work. I have had a rough last few months and it would be nice to get away for a little while anyway.
 
Gothel fetches some crazy prices on Ebay! About 4-5 x her original price. Rapunzel goes for around $200, not bad. Why is Gothel scalped so terribly?

I think she is just so "Unique" doll... she is amazing (Rapunzel too,but Gothel looks exactly like the movie!) :) And she is a villain..a good villain :D
But we stay in the thread.. I can't WAIT anymore :(!

You bring up a good point/question, why does Gothel look so accurate to the movie, while Rapunzel ( although great too) doesn't look nearly as detailed?

Last week on week someone was selling Aurora. She was sent out instead of Mulan. The doll was selling for a starting bid of $500 for a "buy it now" of $700. The Snow White mirror was included. I am not sure if the doll sold or not.
 
I finally received my Snow White doll today and she is beautiful!!!! Shes the only one I have soo far, and am still contemplating if I should take the morning off and try and get the rest... ahhhh decisions decisions!!! hopefully i can get the rest online and avoid going to the store sooo early!!! Wish you guys the best and hope everyone gets what they want!!!

It didn't. The seller relisted it with a starting auction bid of $375 and a BIN price of $500. Clearly this person realized that no one was crazy enough to pay $700 for a doll that will flood eBay next month anyway.
