QUESTION Dwindling down my PODM collection

Trying to decide if I should trade, sell or auction my extra PODM pins. I finally went through my collection and determined “keep, maybe and extras” not allowing myself more than 5-6 of my favourite movies.

Do you have grail-y pins you are looking for? If so, trading is probably your best bet. You’ve got some awesome scenes that will get some good pins for you I’m sure.

If not (or even if so) and you just want to pocket some cash, then certainly selling will do that. Although personally I always have trouble determining the value on these since they vary so much depending on scene.

If you go through ebay, don’t forget they take a cut. You can sell it for a lower price (giving people a deal) outside ebay and still come out the same if not better.

If you want to reduce your ( or the buyers’) shipping costs to the US, you know I’m here to help.

Of course you could always do a mix of both. Or try trading first and if that doesn’t work then sell. Etc.

I struggle with selling and trading, people value pins so differently - I’m never sure which way to go. I might try to trade a few at the next pin and pop event.

I regret selling my Tangled PODM. You have some beautiful scenes that you saved though. I love the Bambi with
Flower scene. It is perfect. I hope you get some good trades for your pins at the next Trade Arcade.

For valuation I use recent ebay sales. I feel that’s the most objective way to determine value and it’s easy to say “well, regardless of how you and I feel about our pins, they both sell for the same price so it’s a fair trade”. But again, I think there is a big challenge with PODMs since really they’re all different and have a range of values. For example, my Tangled has Flynn. Its value is not the same as yours with Rapunzel and your Rapunzel is not the same as the one you are keeping with both of them in it on the boat. But at least you can find a range and maybe there are similar scenes that sold.

If you do decide to trade, I would be interested in Pluto’s Christmas Tree. I am re-evaluating my pin collection and moving some of my collection to traders this week. Would be happy to trade if I end up having something from your wants list.

I’ve done a few PODM auctions and I regret that I didn’t keep an extra of each movie and of course of some scenes. I find my wants of some scenes change over time.

These take up a bit of space with storage which is causing me to evaluate what I need.

I'm interested in your BatB PODM and Tangled PODM if you decide to trade or sell them.

The Trade Arcade is sometimes difficult because of values. There seems to be a lot more commons traded than rarer pins (but probably also because the rarer pins aren't all listed).
