I've sent the money a week ago for someone to buy me a few of the pins, unfortunately the person camped overnight and was too far in line to acquire any. I asked for a refund and only got part back, the person said that they sent the money I paid for the pins but the "extra" I payed was spent on gas and other expenses for him camping... Did I miss something? Should I have a reason to be pissed, and if so leaving negative feedback won't return my money... What should I do?:mad:

Was the person waiting to get some for himself too or only for you?

If he was already waiting for himself then he did not have any extra costs to wait for yours.

That's outrageous. Can't charge cost for something he didn't even provide. Plus it's pretty obvious that wasn't discussed prior to the release. Man. I feel for you- I'd do what it takes to get ALL my money back.

I am so sorry for this and it is unheard of :( I would like to know this person's id if you feel that it is ok to send.

I would be pissed. Because I'm sure he wasn't there just for you. I would leave negative feedback so people know not to deal with this person in the future.

Hard to say. What was the original agreement? I have pre-paid a few times for different pins here, like POMHs, and some DSFs, sometimes I would get charged a "fee" for their time, effort, sometimes no fee, but in the times they were not able to get it, I got 100% refunds, and one was fee based, and one was straight cost based.

lol cost for camping etc is not fair on you Id be asking fir full refund as if you only got half back and no pins then that person does deserve negative feedback fir starters as they are ripping you off clear as day and maybe go through paypal and ring them and expkain the situation.

After some frantic back and forth angry texting and ranting the person agreed to send my money back, this was the first time I pre bought something and I honestly didn't think I would have to deal with this... While the extra costs were not as outrageous as others it still baffles me why someone would try to charge cash for expenses even if the deal wasn't met... The person who did this is new at the forum and I don't want to ruin the experience or reputation. I'm sure they won't do this again, i hope they can take it as a learning experience as have I. just wanted to reassure myself that I was in the right. Thank you all for the support and having my back.

Total BS and quite the scam!!!

Hey everyone! I've got a deal for you! I'll get you any pin you want from any release anywhere for the low fee of $5 per pin which is non refundable even if I don't hold up my end to cover my costs.

Fine print: seeing that I live in the Chicago area there is virtually 0% I will actually get the pin but proceeds from my uncompleted services will go into my Disney vacation fund so that I can one day actually attend a release and offer you nothing from it.

Any takers? :)

Umm... yeah. The thing is, he offered to get 4 people pins... and is keeping $20 from each of them. Including myself. Before I got the message that I would be getting only a partial refund, I offered to send him a pin for his gas and time spent overnight. I did feel bad that he walked away with nothing... but this is ridiculous and quite presumptuous. Off to try to recoup my other $20... and he can forget about the pin...

**Snorts soda out her nose from laughter**

on a serious note, glad they came around. Let it be a learning experience for all involved.

Erica, I would think this was hilarious if it wasn't my money involved! I'm trying to get a laugh out of it anyway... but it's just been a bad day all around, so no laughs yet. Maybe later. *Sigh.*

He pretty much chose to stay. Once he got there and realized he was past 150 in line he should have at the very least asked if you wanted him to stay knowing that you'd be taking a gamble. Instead he chose to gamble with your money.

Rather than playing the PM game, I would like to see more people learn from the bad experience and be more fastidious about their buying and selling agreements. Both sides should be clearly stating what they expect from the contract. And it is a contract, when you finalize your trade or buying agreement. There should be no surprises about what happens in regards to expected outcomes; be it a favorable completion or failure to produce the desired outcome.
