June 29 wristband info?????
Got in the first 200. Really was on the fence about whether or not I wanted to win this thing. Might be only picking up a few things, since the wife just blew the budget at WDI :O

Which mystery boxes are they releasing? Any Tangled/Brave/Robin Hood/Sword in the Stone/Mulan/Echanted pins being released?? *LOL* if so, I need them!

Posted this in the other thread, too but:

If anyone needs any pins, please pm me. I'm in the 2nd group -- the last 50. The only ones I'm getting are Road Rules Stitch x 1, Annual Passholder License Plate x 2, and possibly Passholder Mickey Key & Keychain Set (valid Annual Passport required for purchase) x 1.

I don't want to ship big items, so these are the ones that I'm willing to buy for someone else:

One (1) each of the following:

  • Chip & Dale Jumbo

Two (2) each of the following:

  • Road Rules Hitchhiking Ghosts
  • Road Rules Stitch (Just one)
  • Road Rules Duffy
  • Road Rules Cruella
  • Speedometer
  • Gear Up Logo Tire
  • Passholder Mickey Key & Keychain Set (valid Annual Passport required for purchase) (Just one)

All I ask is base price + 7.75% tax + $10 per pin (this includes shipping). If it can fit in the same flat rate small postal box, then fee for second pins are waived.

Awesome! I got in the first 200 . . . skipping the jumbos and sets . . . only want the Duffy pins, the Passholder License Plate pin, and the mystery boxes . . . Where do the traders hang out since there are no tables by Pin Traders?

I wasnt one of the lucky few. So does anybody know at what time the pins will be on sale for the general public?? Are they going to let us camp out for these, and if so where is the line going to be formed?? Any info would be really appreciated. thanks.

My son and husband got second tier wristbands. If anyone isn't getting all of their license plate mystery sets or the "Are we there yet" jumbo I would be interested.

Thank you,

Hehe ... I just got an email stating I'm in the first 200 winners. My wife & kids are super excited so we have decided to make a trip over but this will be our first event. Any suggestions or points to other threads on what to expect or to buy?

Newbie here :-D

They go on sale to the general public at 1 p.m. Don't know about camping out.

ekk!
are you sure about the 1 o'clock? I was reading the blog.. and it says on the blog that the wrist band people can get the pins from 9-1 at the cart in down town.. but wouldn't the rest be available in Disney when it opens? ..because even if all the wrist band people get their max amount.. there still should be some for the park.. o.0 right?

yes, there will be more, but they do seem to hold onto everything until the end of the event. The 1:00 time will probably be the time for most to get the pins, and even then, only at that location for the day at least. This is how they did the GingerBread House LR pins also.

They had extras of those for over a week.

No, because if the 250 people max out their allotment, some of the pins will be sold out. E.g. the speedometer pin: http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=62198

Has 500 available. However, each of the 250 can purchase 2 pins.

This is from my e-mail confirmation:

"Following an hour after park opening Guests may visit Disney's Pin Traders in the Downtown Disney District until 1:00 p.m.

What to Bring
Along with the printed email, please present a valid photo ID: government issued driver's license or passport, school ID, or Annual Passport.

Purchase Times
Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pin(s) at the designated merchandise location until 1:00 p.m. on the day of distribution.

At 1:00 p.m. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value and may not be transferred. "

I really don't think anything from this non-event will sell out the first day. I could be wrong, but Dateline Disneyland, World of Color, Sci-Fi Academy, Alice in Disneyland, and Nightmare Before Christmas gingerbread pins were all still available after the release and those had much stronger themes than Disney characters driving cars.

I would never park in the DTD lots again. I never noticed that they are a hourly parking. I have a Premium pass though so I get free parking in the OTHER lots. Depends on how long you are staying I guess.

i guess i missed the bus on this.
no clue it was even happening.

hope those of you going are willing to trade the Star Tours License Plate pin!!

Thank you so much for your help.. unfortunately tho.. I now have to work. *sigh* oh responsibility.. such a heavy burden. haha. But my boyfriend will still be going.. *fingers crossed for Duffy pin*

Since the release is at DTD Pin Traders, you can park in the DTD parking, get your pins, then move to the Mickey & Friends parking structure if you plan to stay the entire day. Or, if you have to go to work, DTD might be they way to go as it's less walking.
