After reading their rules, I can't believe Disney allows overnight lines. You would think they would have a better way to organize it and hand out wristbands so you don't have to sleep overnight. I'm honestly shocked!

Even with online random selection people will still game the system and put in ghost requesters. And with popular pins, there will still be an overflow line of people waiting for second chances. I think an online RSP process where you have to put your name, then show ID, or for kids input their name and parents name, to get a wristband. Then if someone with the same name is chosen, maybe check ISP's or ask for birthdates, whatever. Just to circumvent ghost requests. That might work. Then people that win a wristband have until, lets say, 4pm to pick up their pins, after that the overflow line can buy. Then hopefully the overflow line won't start the night before as their chances of getting them will not be garaunteed and they can't buy until 4pm, not 9am and scoot out.

I think its difficult there is always a way to beat the system unless you really take the time and play the "what if" game and figure it all out. :/

As much as I'd like some of the soda fountan pins there is no way that if I lived close enough I would go and queue overnight for a pin. I like them, but not that much. I wouldn't mind waiting in line for a couple of hours in daylight. I've done that a couple of times when trips to WDW have been at the same time as pin releases. Surely that has to be better then spending the night on the street? Disney are excepting a lot from people, just to spend their money with them, but then again people are prepared to do it.
