Trading questions

I have only made about 15 trades so far and I have a couple of questions:

1) I always send a pic of my pin. Should they?
I have had 3 bad trades and I asked them certain questions about their pin and they assured me their pin was the real deal.

2) Should they give you a DC?

3) Is it ok to ask for their pinpics ID? I like to look at their wants/trades cause maybe I'm on the fence about holding on to a pin!!!

These are great questions and I will be on the lookout for the answers because I want to know too! I don't see why there would be anything wrong with asking for their pinpic id though...

Well I would if theres a scrapper warning..but if you send one

Most definetly!!!Stickler with me I will tell you that,I usually send mine after I recieve the other traders Dc#
if they are fairly new to pin trading

YES ask for the ID..it could save you both on shipping ..if you do more than one trade!I always try doing that

Another thing..wrap the pins well,communicate through the trades,and leave proper feedback...if a member here on itrader
under their ID or on Dizpins Ref Center using their email addy..if a member here do both,more feedback the better
if you are leary about a trade..you can always ask we are all here to help you!

I have traded for many years and it's just since I've come back that people seem to be using pictures more. It's easier to upload them now that everyone has a camera phone and people are more savvy with computers. I think it's perfectly fine to request a picture. In the past we asked about the condition of the pin - I would ask does the pin have any dings, scratches or damage? Is it in mint condition? Then I'd say my pin is ____.


I always use DC. It's worth the piece of mind. I always set this up on trades before we agree to the trade.

As for their pinpics ID... yes, I think you have every right to ask for it or their references. Some people will direct you to their ebay feedback.

Oh, actually, its recorded delivery but we can only do that within the UK, not to the US I don't think.

You can do the equivalent of recoded delivery to the US however it would cost you a lot of money depends on the value of pin or pins I do it sometimes for big trades ask the ost office for signed for
