I like the idea behind the pins and so I finally bought my first one (Steamboat Willie) to add to my collection for that. The problem I'm having is as cool as the pin is, when I display it in my pin bag (where I keep all my pins) no light travels behind the film strip and it just looks dark making it not nearly as cool. Is this just kinda what you deal with or is there something I'm missing? Still a cool pin, but makes me hesitant about paying a bunch for a good BatB scene now seeing how I don't really see a good way to display it.

That's awesome, but way more than I'm interested in. I like keeping my pins in a bag, it lets me take them out and look at them when I want, but doesn't fill my house up with displays of them :) Just wondering if maybe there is some way to get them to show up better. I wonder if white paper behind the cell would help.

While the scene is still dark, I actually put a few sheets of white paper behind the PODM. It wont hurt the pin and when you have the pin in the light, you can see the scene.

I put white paper behind my tangled PODM scene, and while it doesn't show up completely, you can still make out the scene. It may depend on the coloring of the cel tho, as my mom tried it on her Dumbo PODM pins, and they don't show up at all with the paper behind it =/

I am the same way- I like to keep my pins in my book as I don't have room to display them otherwise (well, yet, that is - who knows, I may make a frame one day ) so I am also iffy about putting a lot of money into the podm pins, especially if I'm not sure if the scene will show up or not

Hope this helps!

Just did this and it helps tremendously with seeing it while it's still in the book. Thanks!

The black/white scene was just getting totally lost on the black background.
