I saw a buy it now of the belle peeking behind a tree for $150. Thought that was the "grail." Hmmmmm....and there are a TON that don't have any bids that are starting at $40. Wonder what that's about?

There are lots of Beasts without bids.

I would say it's the "lull" before the Storm. Tangled was like that too. But then it went back up into gear. The people selling it cheaper, I'd say probably need the money more than they need the pin. But those who don't (need the money more than the pin) will probably hold on?

I've seen too many of these on Ebay and on here. I don't think that there is a scene that really stands out now. I was dissapointed with this release. They did not spread it out. The mulan release was a lot better. Oh by the way, I decided to stay.:wiggle:

With the holidays it may be a bad time to sell. Not a lot of extra money to go around for personal collections. Unless the other person really knows what to look for, PoDM pins are tough to put on your Christmas list for others to buy.

Personally for the scenes they made I think they are way over priced. I was hoping to pick uup one for $40 but so far thats not happening.

I don't think that's going to happen for a while, unless someone is desperate. WDW was a zoo! DLR was crazy, people lining up at 1 p.m.-ish on Thursday for an 8 a.m. release on a Friday (well, that would be 8 am for the first person in line, people weren't done with DTD at 11 a.m.!)

BATB certainly didn't have the wide variety of scenes that Mulan did! I'm still hoping for a Belle in the snow scene, a scene with the rose, and then a couple to give as Christmas gifts.

It takes awhile for the market to figure out the appropriate prices for each scene. I think this happens with all PoDMs. The scenes with just Beast are going for $50-$60 while everything else is going for more. If you look at Mulan, the ones with Mulan as Ping as going for $30-$40 while the scene that everyone wants, Mulan and her father, is going for much more. Even with Tangled, a scene of just Flynn is fairly inexpensive now compared to when they were first released. I think a $40 or less Beast scene will eventually happen.

+1

The prices will come down over time...especially for a series that is ending after this year. Yes, these are nice pins, but people will move on to the "next big thing", and with an edition size of 2000 I have a sneaking suspicion a year from now many of these pins will be much easier to come by.

Maybe people are just sick of paying 5x the cost of a pin just because they couldn't make it in person.

I know for one I'm getting very tired of driving to the Soda Fountain and won't be going to every release anymore. It just becomes reckless spending in today's economy to do this!
