I dislike new years resolutions in general. Because mostly they are things like...

"i will pay my bills on time." or "I am going to get in shape." But the resolutions rarely get completed. Which lets face it, that's depressing right?

So, lets make pin trade resolutions, fun, easy things we can ENJOY instead of "chores"

  • I will, in the year 2013, focus on specific pins. Namely the Dragons and the Centaurs for higher end, and completing my HoND collection for the easier stuffs. This may mean fewer trades, but I need to focus.
  • I will, in the year 2013, continue to participate in the RAK attacks, and random zaps I enjoy doing so much. Not for the good pin Karma (although its a bonus) but because I luv the community and want to keep the good happy fuzzy feelings going!
  • I will continue to come up with fun inventive ways to utilize the DPF auction house.

What about you?

I could see this first one being on a lot of peoples list. Even though I've just started, I'm already realizing that I need to limit the themes I'll be collecting.

I'm going to try and and finish up both year 1 and 2 of the Piece of Disney Movies and get them on display.

I'm hoping to join in on some PIF's and zaps this year.
 
I am going to make sure that I finish sets before I start collecting others and make sure that I collect small sets and then work up to bigger ones.
 
I spent 2011 and 2012 trying to catch up and finish a whole lot of sets spanning the entire time there's been Disney pin trading. In 2013, I'd like to work on quality over quantity. Focus more on some WDI and DSF stuff I've been wanting. It's part of my goal to spend less in 2013, too. By going after some more HTF stuff, and since I'm still frugal with my pin buying, I won't find as many "deals" I couldn't pass up.
 
I came to the realization today, that paring down my want list to just the things I am actually collecting is a necessity. I had added a tonn of things to my wants because I knew they would re-trade well and I wanted a larger base for people to pull from when bidding on my auctions. I think I will just put in HUGE bold letters that my wants list is a guideline, not the bible with regards to bidding on my auctions. lol

to really focus on what i want to aim for this year means i need to get rid of the frivolous extra pins. ohhhhhh man.
 
My 2013 resolutions are:

1. Concentrate on my main collections: TLM, BATB, Brave, WiR and Beloved Tales.
2. Move the pins that don't fall in those categories to my traders.
3. Obtain my 2 grails I'm missing, Designer Ariel and Designer Rapunzel.
4. Only collect the Tangled pins that find me, (this is my way of dealing with an impossible compulsion to complete every collection).

Thanks for doing this, I need goals set! :)
 
I want to commit to collecting only Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora (Blue Dress), & Alice.

And possibly get rid of everything else @.@ just to consolidate my list lol. It's so hard though T_T!
 
1. Get ALL of the Wreck it Ralph pins.
2. Beat my friend at doing the above.
3. Get better at pin trading. So far so good, but still a noob.
 
PIN RESOLUTIONS OF 2013
  1. Focus more on my main pin collection
    which are PODMs. I'm often very ​swayed when I see people who have pins that I want but are not PODMs. But I must resist!
  2. Obtain my grails
    this should be a challenge however it's a challenge that I'll enjoy; trying to get my grail PODM scenes.
  3. Continue giving
    through RAKs (Random Act of Kindess) and AAN (Adopt-A-Newbie). Although I still feel new on this forum and I don't post as much as many of you, I still want to be able to make someone smile.
  4. Giving ❤
    think of more ways to give out ❤ because this community is :hug:

I have no problem coming up with a budget....it's the sticking to it that seems to elude me :lol:

My resolution is to finally establish a main focus for my collection. I started out well but there are now several extra branches on my tree!!
 
My resolution is I hope I prioritize my time with pin trading/buying/selling/auctioning. I need to have a good balance between with my family, friends, and other hobbies and not spend so much time on pins. Kinda like I spent thanksgiving eve/morning since midnight waiting outside for the BATB PODM release instead of having a good nights rest so I can have the energy to enjoy the holiday with the family.

Give me all your Belle pins and I'll give you all my jasmine and aurora, sound good? I think it's a good resolution, helps us both. ;)
 
In 2013 I will...
-Collect other princess pins other than Ariel/The Little Mermaid.
-Really start focusing on the classic princesses (Snow, Aurora, Cinderella).
