I cannot find the last 4 PODM's I need at any reasonable cost :( What makes this even more disheartening is I have NO idea how I can manage to obtain 3 of 4 most expensive PODM's out there since I am trying to get a set for both my children too. Is there NO ONE in the WORLD who will sell a Snow White PODM with ANY scene in it for less then $175??!!

I have tried as well but to no avail Good Luck just keep an eye out I could not even get a Dumbo for less than 45 the prices people are asking is outrageous.

Don't worry right now, remember that PODMs are an extremely hot item so they are selling for substantially more. Remember when the Designer Villain pins first came out, $600 minimum on Ebay, now on Ebay, the highest they sold for recently was a little more than $400 recently, but nobody is willing to buy the set for more than that. I think Tangled is under a similar problem that right now they are selling for much more than they will 3 or 4 years down the road. Think of the PODMs as a long-term goal and once they aren't hugely popular anymore and those people trying to sell them for $175 or more realize they can't get that amount for them, they'll be more than happy to oblige with your fair prices :)

I agree with everyone who said the price of the PODM will go down. When the next big pin craze comes along, people will forget about the PODM and prices will drop. Also, once more people have these in their collection and the demand is not as high, prices will drop.

Aww, Shame your having trouble with the last 4 PODM's. You will get them in time. As PODM pins get out of being the big theme they will drop in price at some point.

For me I need Snow White, Peter Pan, Alice, and Bambi...but I do need 2 more Dumbo! Can you PM me with a description of your scene and what you might want for it??

Did you see Pin-A-Coladas Off-White Elephant Game? Well, not this next one, but the one afterwards we are planning on doing a PODM only one in which case you'd have to put in a PODM of substantial worth (whether that be 1 Year 1 PODM or 2 or more Year 2 PODMs unless they are highly wanted scenes etc.) and there was a Peter Pan one in this original one and it wasn't even a PODM only one. I expect a good number of Year 1 PODMs to be in the mix during that game so if you can wait and you still have any PODMs you wouldn't mind sparing depending on their rarity, you have a chance at getting one of your really wanted ones and if not, your still guaranteed a good PODM(s).

If you have spare time, I'd recommend reading through the full 44 pages, the game is sort of like a soap opera lol in terms of drama...the OP also explains the rules and such so that you know how it is played. A second one is going to begin during the beginning of the new year, but the general category is "grail" pin like this first one, so if you have any pins (including PODMs but I'd save them) that you think people would go die happy for, you can try submitting them and see if you get in. The game is extremely fun to partake in and watch, about 20 people were always viewing the thread at any given time of day because you just can't wait to see who steals and/or what people get :)

Made you something... I didn't put one over dumbo just in case someone sees your sig and has one!!

A friend of mine got some for trade, don't know if he's selling them and which scene's he has, but I can ask for you if you want? :) Do you have other PODM's to trade if he only wants to trade? :)

I know your pain I am in need of the older podm but no one will trade or sell reasonably so gonna wait it out and see if they come down in price they are le2000 so maybe in 6 months or so ......... Who knows

Except for Snow White (first in the series), Tangled, and Beauty & the Beast (more so the grail scenes but at least scenes with Belle as there are so so many with just Beast!), I will go against the naysayers and say that the PODMs will not go down in price - maybe a little bit, but not so much as people seem to expect them to go.

Designer Princesses - people thought those were a fad and would go down after a few months, instead they went UP UP UP (I was around when they were being sold for the original retail price and missed out on a few co-ops, then I missed out on getting them for $300 and $400!)

Designer Villains - yes they went down, but $400 is still more than twice the original retail price. It hasn't gone back to it's original retail price of $150.

PODM - Snow White is the first in the series. Most pins that are first in the series will inevitably stay inflated (remember those Annual Passholder DLR Keys (to go with the locks) that sold for $12 original retail; the first one goes for $50-100 (ugh!)

Go rent or buy the movie Pitch Perfect on blu ray or dvd. There is a song towards the end called "I got the magic in me." I'm pretty sure that's where all the Christmas magic went this holiday season.

I believe that the Designer Princesses are a special case purely because they are so limited (150 as compared to the 2000 on PODMs) and because they are absolutely gorgeous pieces. Now I know what you're going to say: "the PODMs may be LE2000 but they are all different and the grail scenes are worth much more." To that I have to agree with you, grail scenes will always stay high, regardless of PODM because they are the top batch of that PODM. I don't think mylittleguys is looking strictly for grail scenes (if you are good luck) but all the pins that aren't immediately under that category I believe will go down a hefty amount. No, Snow White may never go down, but for the rest of them (including Beauty and the Beast and Tangled), I believe that any scene that isn't the highest or one of the 3 highest of high grail scenes, will go down at least $30-$50 eventually after the PODM hype is over.

Also, the Designer Villains are $400 as a set, but if you divide that by six, you are paying a little less than $70 per pin and that is not a bad deal at all :)

Just don't get discouraged. sometimes, you can find good deals when you buy more than 1 PODM (not of the same series) and then sell the others that you don't need.

$45.00 is not bad at all for a Dumbo PODM in my opinion. It is a first year PODM and those are a bit tougher to come by lately. Also, many of the more popular PODMs, even 2nd year, sell for an average of about $40.00 to $50.00 (excluding BATB and Tangled which typically go for more). If you think about it... $45.00 for a pin that was originally $25.00 plus tax and is now sold out and is currently high in demand, that's not really terrible (unless it's a picture of a chimney like with some of the Peter Pan PODMs xD)
But I feel the original poster's pain. There's some cute PODMs that I'd love to buy on Ebay but they are so outrageously priced and I don't believe many of them are "grail scenes". As everyone else has said, be patient and watch Ebay/sales forums like a hawk. When the good prices do pop up, you need to strike fast! I wish you the very best of luck! Lots of pixie dust your way :D

I figured before I knew anything about the value of these pins, when I decided to try to get all of them I figured that with them going for $25 the day of the sale...with gas and other expenses a $40 resell fee would be reasonable and I "budgeted" $40 per pin that I couldn't attend a release for (I only got into this for Lonesome Ghosts and beyond....) THEN I ignorantly figured that since BATB would be so popular I thought for sure I could do a 2 for 1 trade for some of the ones I need (like 2 lesser popular PODM's for 1 of the BATB) but that didn't hold true either. And I KNEW I couldn't get ALL of them for $40 or less...and I have altered my expectations DRAMATICALLY since I have become more educated....but them funding is an issue as well. So, say $150 for a Snow White would be awesome, but....then technically I need to find 3 at that price and it puts me at $450!

It's a learning experience, for sure. I just feel so close to completing my collection and I can't finish it....it's making me frustrated. It doesn't help that there are only FOUR Snow Whites on ebay right now and they are all like $200 and above!

Ok your husband was gonna divorce you after the BATB one and no your lookin at more ?? lol--i have a spare room

Really, i tell some folks this....its no rush. Its a hobby. I highly suggest putting a strict cap on spending and play the waiting game. I was shocked at what i ended up finding at the Circus--i got 7 grails that weekend. Slow and steady is the way to go with the pins....or you'll end up upset, frustrated and broke.
