Hello all,

Lucking for the most part around here. Still trying to learn the ropes and get a decent collection. One thing I keep seeing over and over is the PODM ones. I have beeb to the parks a cople times each year for the last couple and go through the pin stores witha fine tooth comb but I have never seen them.

Where do they come from?

Jim

They were a limited edition of 2000. You can not get them at the park anymore. Most of them sold out within a day or so of being released. The only way to get them now is through either trading or ebay.

so do you mean you can't get any podm ones at the parks. which those are the ones with cell right? I was there in Dec, before I knew anything about them. I swear I saw some christmas movie ones in that frontierland shop. Are you saying they don't sell any of those in the parks. Like what about new movies?

The series is over and the final one was Pluto's Christmas Tree. They aren't making any more of them

There was a pin each month in 2011 and a pin each month in 2012, there are only 24 different pins in this pin of the month series covering the two years but there are many scenes for each pin. They are not releasing any this year so for now, they are not available at the parks. They WERE when they were released but being limited edition of 2000 and SO popular they sold out in the blink of an eye...

okay makes since because I belive the pluto ones was what I saw. I think maybe some BOTB too, and I could hate myself that I didnt' get anything because I didnt' know what they were. How much are they retail?

Dont worry as the hype dies down so will the price, there LE 2000 first off so there are out there it's not like its a low LE. There is just a high demand that levels it out to make the pins so darn hard to get. But like I said the prices on eBay have been dropping and sooner than later they will be the thing of the past like all the other major pins of there time. Like the Autopia POH that was crazy 200.00 pin! Now it goes for 30-70.

This totally makes sense and I agree till some point.
In the pat the podms were not as appealing as they are now.
I think that they are nice pins and continue to Appeal to newer traders.
I made friends with a couple and te fort thing they said try wanted to collect: PODMs

I think prices of NEWER podms are going down because they are hyped at first.
I hear this is due to tangled.
We were not officially pintading yet so I cannot tell you toomuch about that.

But I do know that you never had to line up last year! LOL

I agree that the prices will probably fluctuate as the years go on. I think it should be noted though that even though they are LE 2000, they all have unique set of scenes that have a much lower edition size than other scenes, if that's the right way to put it. So they really can't be in the same category as other LE 2000 pins due to scene variety and the fact that some scenes are relatively easier to come by than others... at least that's my take on it.

Hopefully the prices will go down as the prices of these babies fluctuate. I was looking at Cinderella PODMs and man! A shot of Fairy Godmother was sold for $93.57 when they use to sell for around $50 and one of Cindy is $255 when it was around $100? Gee.. Although I can see and understand why the older ones will raise in prices... I would assume the newer ones will go down in price. If you are looking for podms, either check on this forum or on the Bay since they don't sell them in stores anymore.

i would only be scared if u are going to order sumthing b4 it is out. That sharky store will send u a note and up the price if they think they can get away with it. oh wait they do get away with it. cuz if you dont like it. they will cancle your sale and you get nothing. From what i have seen. this wdw store is a bunch of crap and not run with any ethics. JMO by the way.

The store in your link has done some questionable things in the past.

Just based on some of the things I have heard here on the forums , I would not shop there. The prices are all over the place too.

I had a bad experience with them. I pre-ordered a PODM then they told be the price of my scene would be an extra $80... That scene never sold for $125 and it's still posted on their site now for that insane price. In my opinion I think it would just be better/easier to buy on eBay or a "wanted sales" thread here on DPF.
