Hello Everybody,

I can't find any info on if there is going to be an Iron Man 3 opening day pin at Disneyland Resort.
Can someone shed some light on this subject?

I don't think there will be a pin at any Disney Theme park for IM3. Disney can't do Marvel in their theme parks (something to do with licensing, only Universal Studios can do it)

that will certainly put a damper on everyone wish for a IM ride wont it? Or is that only merchandise? Because they have the IM3 thing in innovations...

Hmm, maybe it's the east of the Mississippi agreement I'm thinking about (so no Marvel land at WDW). What does Universal Studios Hollywood have as far as Marvel characters? I don't remember.
 
I heard it was only on the East Coast since Universal already had the Spiderman ride at their park. Out here on the West Coast it should be fair game. Universal out here has removed Marvel from their park, so I dont get why they havent moved forward with pins (other than DSF). I'm guessing its due to the ONE PARK philosophy. Unless they can do it in all parks, they wont move forward. They didnt even have a Iron Man pin set up on Disneystore.com and they have been having a pin set for every new movie being released (oz, wreck it, frankenweenie). And they certainly have plenty of marvel merchandise online. Someone is dropping the ball.
 
It is only Walt Disney World that Marvel characters cannot be inside the actual theme parks. Disney can use the Marvel characters anywhere else they want.

Correct, which is why the Marvel themed Monorails only travel on the MK Express and MK Resort loops. They could have done an IM3 opening day pin and released it only at DTD.

This is why I was kind of saddened with no pin, they could have easily released the pin on DS.com instead of in the parks but it's fine, I think they're trickling in Marvel merchandise slowly.
 
Like everyone said, it's only east coast. If you go to disneyland into innoventions right now, you could actually see a display of the armors. I wish they would've had a pin though
