I am expecting approximately 1.5 responses to this thread, ha! If I get more I will be excited ;)

Does anyone else have a near impossible time trading for DA 100 pins?? I've bought most of the ones I own. I have tried the strategy for offering sets of LE pins in trade. New sets, old sets....I have tried offering other DA 100 pins (some with way higher T/W ratios) in exchange...I have tried to buy HTF pins to trade for them....I have offered multiple low edition DA or DS pins for trade. It is a very perplexing nut that I have been unable to crack....I know they are gorgeous and difficult and can sell for $100, $200, $300 but I have about 15 DA 100's in my tradebook right now that I would trade in a second for another DA 100 that I needed. There.has.got.to.be.a.way! ha!

So the purpose of this thread is to post which DA 100 pins I am looking to trade for and am asking if anyone HAS these for trade, check my traders and propose ANY trade offer you'd like. It could be 1:1 or 25:1 for all I care. I am really just looking to explore what I can trade to find some of these guys! :) I also welcome anyone else to post which DA 100 pins they can't find in hopes that someone might work out a trade with them. (also included a couple non DA LE 200s).

OK, these are the elusive pins I am searching for:

I can definitely relate! I've been looking for the pin in my signature FOR-EV-ER! Hoping to find it someday! Good luck on your pin quest!

Desperately searching for Maleficent!

Totally relate. I'm down to the last three DA LE100 pins I need:

And even with these DA LE100s for trade (and several other grail-level pins as well), I've had no luck:

As I said on the other forum, I'd gladly do a 3:3 trade or consider some other trade combination, but since I've been looking for these pins for many many years, I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon. Sigh.

Omg Jabberwocky, If I had those pins I would trade you in a heart beat! That BatB pin makes me drool
It's really one of the most stunning pins I've ever seen. Probably why I've had it "for trade" since 2007 and have never been able to let go of it. LOL

But if someone could/would do that 3:3, I'd finally let it go. :) But there's very little else left on my wants that I would let it go for otherwise at this point.

Honestly, that's probably a big part of why it's hard to trade for DA LE100 pins - they were the best pins ever made. Period. Nothing compares for size/weight/quality. And once you have them in hand, they're very very hard to let go even if they're not what you collect. I adore the Tink too - it's so darling and dainty and yet big and sparkly - and it's been with me for a few years as well!

Man if you can't trade with those ahmaazzing pins, that my chances are slimmm! ha! Well if I EVER am fortunate enough to find any of those cats pins, I will contact you FIRST no matter what. I can't stand knowing that people have been searching for 5-10 years for their grails with no success in site. ha!

:) Thanks. But part of what a very wise pin collector told me when I first started out many years ago was that this is a long game hobby and that patience is key. It was true then and it is true now.

That said, I hate patience. LOL But I feel very blessed with what I have been able to get over the years. :)

But my point really was to show some explanation for why they're so hard to trade for and trade with - they're SUCH amazing pins that it takes a lot to make anyone let go of them. And those who are lucky enough to have some are going to be very very specific of what will get us to let these beauties go. So I understand why the people who have pins that I want won't trade them and why I have pins that other people want but I don't really want to trade 'em either :D except for our own very most wanted. :)

However, if someday, I ever manage to actually complete my collection (only missing 16 older pins but they've all remained out of reach for years), I will be letting go of all of my traders because I don't think it's fair to hold them hostage forever when they could go to good homes. But so long as I need them as potential traders for my harder/older stuff, they're sticking with me. :)
