Hey,

So before i go out and buy the wrong cork board stuff, can someone tell the the actual sizes of the pages in the regular big pin trading bags? Also, does anyone have a link to a website that sells the cork board? I've tried walmart, walgreens, no corkboard there.

Thanks

Matt - try Michaels, AC Moore or even Walmart (in the office supply section) sells the rolls of thin-medium thickness corkboard that I'm assuming you're looking for. You can cut these down to size with sharp scissors or I used an exacto-blade, and once they were cut, I bound the edges with duct tape so that the cork doesn't chip off or break away and cause a giant mess. I think I stole that idea from someone here...

Good luck! Come back to MA, we missed you at our last meetup! :) Hope you're well!

Don't buy cork, it dries out and the pins won't stick. Buy the plastic tube sheets at home depot or lowes. Just ask where the garage sale signs are. Or the "for sale by owner" signs. Usually you can get big blank white pieces. Also if its voting season some signs use that plastic, but lately most of them have been cheaper thin paper stuff.

there is also Corplas... the corrugated plastic they use for election signage. you can buy that in bulk sheets and cut to size as well. It is what we have in our trade book. We covered it in duct tape to help grip the posts and reduce the spinning.

However, nothing stops the spinning totally except tape. There is a kind of small double sided dot stickie you can get in the scrapbook section of most craft stores. I THINK it is made by the elmers glue company. I love it for the pins that really like to spin. It can be rubbed gently and "rolled" right off a pin with no residue.

for Dangles and jewel pins, extra protection with something like a small jewelry bag is a good idea as well.

I did not know this. Thanks for the heads up. Time to revamp my pin bag!
