Oh gosh, they added Flynn's doll variation of the smolder in the video! XD I'm seriously considering (and saving) for the Rapunzel and Ariel sets, along with with their journals, mugs, and lithographs. I sure hope the mugs look better in person, because at this point they look semi-plain to me.
 
I thought it was so interesting in the video when they explained how they made the 2d animated image into a 3d one and based the sculpt off that 3d image. However I disagree that the dolls look like they 'jumped off the screen', though I don't understand why they're not more accurate based on that process. Some of them look pretty close, like Jasmine and Aladdin, and to a lesser extent, Ariel (still think her face is too long and her nose slightly off but pretty good overall). But Snow's prince is way off, which is ironic because he's the one they showcased in the video. And Rapunzel's mold has always been way off to me too. I hope if Aurora and Cinderella are going to be in a future Fairytale designer line, their faces will get new more accurate molds, as I think their current molds are way off.

If the DFDC dolls are sold it will be the pre-order for complete sets only (to be shipped in mid October). The disneystore.com said the first individual couple will be available in store on Tuesday August 20th and online Wednesday August 21st (midnight).
 
Love the Jasmine and Aladdin but debating whether or not to try to get the set. It's either per-order the Ariel 17" doll or the couple....
 
OMG. I saw two of the sets up close today, Ariel and Belle and they are sooooo beautiful! Even Belle, who is my least favorite of this particular collection. The details up close are amazing!
 
Now that we've seen all pics my fave are def. the Arial & Rapunzel sets. I also really like Snow White and Jasmine. Not tooo fond of Belle but why should I exclude her then?

If only I knew that they would def. geat cheaper in time like the villains lol.
 
Did anyone else notice that in the video, it seems like they were considering other design options? Like, that close up of Snow- her hair was more twisted, not braided, which is closer to the concept art. Also, Flynn's vest seems like a darker color in the preliminary art, accented with gold piping or something. I wish that would have made it to the final product!

The release date for Rapunzel set is September 3, i will go to paris in THAT week.. is this a sign?
I really hope when they say "in selected stores in Europe" they mean "Disney store in paris" too xD

Or i will order her online the next day.. But a big complain..

Europe pay 100£ - 120 Euros??? They're crazy??? Isn't fair! 129 dollars are apprx.ly 100-105 euros :(

Yes, the pricing for everywhere outside of the USA always seems disproportionate and more expensive by comparison! :( At the conversion rates for today, 100£ = $152.73 USD, 120 Euros = $159.22 USD, and they want $139.95 Canadian dollars = $134.83 USD. This is obviously not the same amount as the $129.95 price in the USA.

Anyway, i will can afford just one set (they are really TOO much expensive) and for destiny-fate thing the set will be Tangled one.

I just hope i can found her in person in Paris Disney Store (i've read is the most large in all Europe)... all right for online order too,
but I feel the "in store thing" more .... special.. :( I hope so...

Finger crossed for everyone.. specially in the US .... For you all the designer thing will be a little more difficult (less pricey, but difficult) :hug:

I just called my local DS to see what the process is going to be to buy these dolls In store. The CM said that they haven't been notified yet......I'm just trying to figure out if getting the sets that I want,are going to involve me having to be in line for HOURS:/ UGH!!! Has anyone else found out any info??? I think the hardest couples to get, will be Little Mermaid and Tangled.....and of course, that's the 2 I want:anxious:
 
Yes they will have the dolls at the disney store champs elysées. Come at the opening at 10am. It safer. I'll be there too.

well, i don't really know ; come a bit earlier than 10 am. I'll probably be there around 9.15 just to be sure, it will also depend a lot about how much dolls they will get. Will it be like cinderella, they got 20 lol and 5 tremaine, or will it be 50 or more? I will hope get the news. Since snow white is the first princess, we will know how much the store will be allow to have.

unfortunately i won't be able to go for snow white, i 'll be at my parent's ... But i 'll have the information when i'll get back home. I'll tell you.

I hope all will be all right! I want just one set, i will stay in paris for few days :( (obviously my favorite one in one of these days!)

Hoping the UK will get the mugs and journals this year and that the villains situation hasn't altered Disney UKs thoughts! Currently planning to get Belle, Rapunzel and Ariel but expect I won't be so lucky on the latter two.
