Looking for some help on the value of this monsters university ticket pin le300
Scratch that first though, the last one sold for $70. (I think Monster's U completists were scrambling for the first one listed.) I see these pins to have a potential to go WAY way up in price. These pins verify the purchaser was present for the first showing of the movie at the El Capitan. In a way it's like a verifiable marquee. The marquee's say "Hi, my movie played at El Capitan." This pin says "Hi, I saw the movie on day 1 at El Capitan." That is rarer I feel and requires commitment to a time and place and $30 if I recall. If they continue this trend, once there are 8, 10, 25 of these pins they will catch on and be popular and the first few will be very hard to get hold of. Imagine knowing today's Up marquee value back when it came out. I think these can go that route. I am not a huge fan of the slider feature. If the do Ariel 3D and each new release or re-release these could start adding up to a nice collection to show off. Just hard to wear a slider pin like that on a lanyard.
How many people wear $50+ dollar pins on lanyards though?

Thanks Steve, I thought it was for opening night. Still, these pins require a $32 commitment and I venture to guess many are going to affluent Hollywood-ites, not pin traders. So they may be rare. Once word catches on to the pin trading masses though, those VIP spots may sell out quick to pin collectors. Especially for the like of a Little Mermaid 3D, Forzen, etc. This is the pin that came / comes with the Monsters University movie ticket option "VIP Ticket + Pin". As long as you were one of the 300 that purchased the movie ticket ($32) it didn't (doesn't) matter what day you asked for, they held the pin for you. They had the same ticket option for Planes (VIP+pin is sold out)...
