So for those of you who haven't heard or seen yet, Walgreens has released a collection of Villain inspired cosmetics and accessories.
The collection features Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella, and Ursula inspired eyeshadow palettes, nail polish, false eyelashes, hair ties, and cosmetic bags.

The pieces range in price (at my local store) from $7-$10 as far as I could tell. I bought myself the Maleficent bag and I'm thrilled with it. There are little Diablo ravens on the inside :)

I would have wanted Ursula as my top choice, but I do not like how she looks. :( Nice collection though, just not thrilled with the appearance. I think Cruella and the Evil Queen look great!
 
Got a second look at them because my mom wanted one haha.
All of them are so nicely detailed. The lookbook palettes for each of them are unique and have character inspired colors and names. All of the lip shades are also different (Queen has a raspberry red, Maleficent deep red, Usula petal pink, Cruella orange).

Haven't tried the makeup yet (it's made by Elf) but the books seem to draw from the Sephora princess storybooks.

On the insides they have a saying relating to the character. My favorite is Ursula's: "My dear I look divine." :D Love that a little Vanessa got thrown in.

In the design for the Evil Queen's crown is a shadowy figure of the old hag!! So cool.

My mom and I just got back from our local Walgreens and all they had left was the nailpolish set and ponytail holders. I really wanted the makeup bad. Apparantly these items were released this past weekend and everyone went crazy for it and that is all they had left. The store employee said it was limited and they and no other store will be getting any more of this stuff.
 
Yeah, they came out last week. I went out the day that they were released cause I thought they'd be cool little bags for when I run costumes for the opera. I'm glad I did. I guess people swarmed? That's what the little helper girl told me. I got the last Queen bag and a Malficent bag. I love them and wouldn't mind a little litho of their designs. I didn't buy the Cruella one...I dunno really why I wasn't for it, even though it was a beautiful design. The Ursula one...I couldn't really stand behind. It was a high glamour and high fashion design...but she had 3 suction cups on her tentacles and two were pressed prominently on her breasts. It looked a little too burlesque and too sugestive to have in a professional environment. Loved the design for that reason, but knew I couldn't use it without it catching attention for that reason. :/
I wonder if it were just for October/Halloween or if it was a tester to see if this collection would have a demand...I would love to see more from time to time. :)

Haha, I went back and saw what I wrote. I said I wanted the makeup bad and what I meant to say was that I wanted the makeup bag. I really need to check my typing before I send lol. I'm such a dork. That is super sweet of you. If you could would you be able to get a Ursela and Maleficent one because one is for my mom.
 
Just ran over to our Walgreens and most of their display looked untouched. But someone had bought an Evil Queen cosmetic bag. So I bought the remaining one and the Maleficent bag for my Mom for a Christmas present. And I bought the Maleficent ponytail bands for me. I have super fine hair, so I'm not sure how well they will work, but I'll try them.

My walgreens didn't release them till the 6th. They said they had people calling from different cities for them, and they had limited supply. And to be there by 10am when their beauty event started, because they were going to go fast -.-

My area is really busy I guess. Haha. There was no way I could go on that day, so I just said forget it.

Allll I wanted was a maleficent bag! I thought the illustrations were beautiful for this collection :)

Is it just me or are things that much worse in California when it comes to looking for these types of items? Are there just that many more Disney fans in California? Is it just because it is a densely populated state? Or more sharks? All of the above?

Seriously, every time anything Disney comes out, that's it. I either be there at store opening, get it on eBay, or never mind it at all.

I saw pics of these items floating around different sites like 2 weeks ago, then when I go to my store, I can't even get them. They are holding till a later date.

And then I automatically go into "hunt" mode. Have to/ want to/ need to find them. And there I am, loading up the baby so we can go on a hunt. It's exhausting being a Disney fan! Haha. :D


I gave up on finding these. I was actually starting to stress. Its crazy. Haha. My city's over populated. Also, like you said, the sharks. They know the popularity, and buy them up.
 
Oh Ill have to check my local Walgreens and see if they have them. I wouldnt use anything probably but the bags would be cool to have maybe.
 
I bought the Maleficent bag for my sister, got the Ursula one for myself, and we went and split the nail polish. My sister then went and bought the Cruella storylook book. I love the line!
 
I bought the cruella and Ursula bags today, I'm going to keep whatever one my mom doesn't want because I like both of them. However, the cruella one is gorgeous!!! There's a Dalmatian puppy print on the inside, too cute!!! I think it's funny that Ursula's suction cups on her tenticals, look like nipples the way they're placed on her body!! I might go back and grab the evil queen, her bag was the biggest out of the 4. I would love a princess line like these:)
 
Has anyone actually tried the makeup from these sets? I checked my local Walgreens to see these last week and some looked pretty good but I'm unfamiliar with e.l.f. so I passed until I could hear something about whether people like them or not. So how is it? Are the colors good once they're on? Details would be awesome on whether the makeup is worth grabbing.
