Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Just noticed that my Ursula eyes don't line up with the mold. Does anyone else's have that problem?

Now why didnt I think of that. Great idea. I wonder how they would do a LE Maleficent different from the Designer Villain.

I would think that LE Maleficent will have sculpted horns and a very voluminous robe that covers her from neck to toe. How they plan on topping the 1998 Mattel Great Villains Maleficent is what I want to know. :)

Yeah, my LE Ursula is like that, too, where her eyes were expanded over the sculpture line of her upper eyelid. I think all of the dolls are like this.

Huh, OK, glad it's not just mine. I wonder what happened there. It's not a biggie, you can't see it from far away, just curious is all.

un-boxing

Thank you! haha. Yeah, its really nice to see other unboxers! I just got asked if I was crazy on instagram because I unboxed my dolls!! :nono::crazy:

I was like excuse me?? They are MY dolls and I'll do what I want with them.

I love posing them and taking photos of them and dressing them.I really don't get what the big deal is. :dunno:

I honestly can not wait for a 17" Maleficent doll. She and the Queen have been my ultimate Holy Grails since I first learned of this collection. I feel that Ursula was early announced because the company knows we expect companion dolls. I bet they will early announce a Maleficent doll because we d*mn sure expect one to be released next year with Aurora. My only hope...is that they do not early announce it. It was really a nail biter worrying about getting a sold out message or email when it came to Ursula. Maleficent is a considerably more popular and iconic villain. Honestly though, we have a year to wait... So within that year...I expect them to make her on point! None of this classic doll Maleficent with a cape and poncho nonsense! ;)

I agree 100%! I think we ought to start blasting the Disney Store about increasing the LE size for LE Maleficent now for all of the reasons you just mentioned (and more if anyone can think of more). The fact that LE Ursula sold out in about 30 minutes is not a good sign!

I find it harder and harder to read posts on here lately....the amount of stress some people are putting on themselves over dolls is insane. Folks, they are dolls. Just dolls. I know we all love them, find joy in them, that's wonderful! But good Lord, most of what's posted lately sounds like y'all are losing sleep and bursting into tears at the thought of missing a doll. Maybe it just comes with age and living life and realizing that at the end of the day, if I miss out on a doll it will still be ok. If we really want them, eventually we will get them! Not trying to peeve people off, just stating: there is too much hysteria and drama over worrying and freaking out over "what if"...

I just wanted to add my opinion about this. I have to say I agree with both sides. I can agree with you that to get stressed to the point where you lose sleep might not be such a good thing. But I can also understand those people's point of view as well. Now, I just started seeing these dolls earlier this week so I might not be the best person to be giving my opinion about this, cuz wth do I know? I'm just a newbie! But to me, these are LE DISNEY DOLLS! They're sought after, they're rare, and they're expensive. I don't know about anyone else, but to me, these dolls are a lot of money, and for that I damn well better get perfect dolls. Especially from Disney. They are know for their superior quality and their impeccable customer service. From what I've been hearing about people getting damaged dolls/boxes doesn't sound like Disney at all. And then when people call Disney asking what they could do to rectify the problem and them not really doing anything sounds even less like Disney! I don't know if that's because I'm just used to the quality customer service you get on disney vacations and the stores are just corporate businesses. But even still, I feel like Disney should uphold their great reputation everywhere, even if it has nothing to do with the actual "Disney people". Personally, in my opinion it shouldn't be that difficult to have better quality control for the dolls and then pack the boxes extra well, knowing there are valuable items inside. If they did a better job with this, then there wouldn't be as many damaged goods to begin with.

Idk, of course this is just my opinion and in no way am I trying to argue or single anyone out. Has anyone ever tried to contact Disney headquarters/ corporate or whatever?

A quick question! Where does the Christmas belle release belong? I thought it was one of the 17" le dolls but all the lists I look at of these she's never on it. I really want her!

They've only made one 17" LE Belle,so I'm sorry but I don't know what you are talking about.

If I had to choose, I would go with Anna. The 17" dolls are always just so amazing!!! Plus, you will save $40. :o) I actually think the movie is going to be rather good!!!

And with the $40 I save I can get my toddler Anna. ;) I think I am going to pass on the pair. Probably. Maybe. Still 3 days to decide. . .

I think they might be referring to this doll, which was made by the Disney Store a few years back for the holidays (not my photo, so I'm just providing a link): http://www.flickr.com/photos/b0ttledwater/4728808578/ This doll is a 12" doll, but very lovely and also very expensive on the secondary market from what I've seen. She was not even a limited edition doll, in that she was individually numbered. She was only available for that one season, however.

So it looks like I wont be getting my packages until Monday, seems to still be in Sydney of all the times for the packages to go through Sydney first LOL. Usually it comes directly to my state not sure why it had to stop in Sydney haha. Oh well at least I will get an influx of dolls on Monday, I cannot wait! Will need to rearrange my display and take more photos!

Im not positive but I think this might be the one! I only saw pics of her in the box so I think that's why in not really sure. How much did you see her going for? I think she's absolutely gorgeous! <3

She is a bit of a unicorn, only very rarely showing up on eBay. The last time I saw her on amazon.com, the seller wanted $299.99 for her. Given the Designer Ariel prices, I suppose that does not seem so bad, but I don't believe that this doll's original retail price was terribly high to begin with. I actually had a chance yo buy her at clearance in 2010 after the holiday rush, but I passed on her... Bad move! Her gown is fabulous! Oh well, shoulda, coulda, woulda...

I honestly think that for most of us it's not worry, but excitement and anticipation. For some of us, getting a doll that we love is like being five years old and waking up on Christmas Morning. I also think that words can come across stronger than people actually feel. Dramatic phrasing goes along with the type of people who love stories and Disney. So it makes sense that what we write would be embellished. I like that when something like a shipping concern comes up that is legitimate (like why is there one tracking number for two dolls), we can come on here and find reassurance by sharing our stories. I thought that there was not much need for coddling, until I personally had the need for advice on shipping problems. It is also maturity to a point. I was shocked to find out somebody on here is 14. Wow! I say, let people be dramatic and if it gets crazy, just smile and think of being a kid on Christmas morning (or other holidays as fits your religion)!!!

May I ask why you were shocked?

As a kid myself, and quite an impatient one at that, the excitement and anticipation drives me nuts. Even though it's actually the fun part of getting a doll.

To be honest, the stress I get waiting for a doll is probably the same as taking an important exam. I'd be awake all night thinking about the doll. Disney is being evil for releasing all these dolls at once if they're doing this on purpose. I'm not going to b able to relax until LE 17" Anna and Elsa come out.

Well MY Point In Being So Extra Emotionally With These Doll Is they Are Not Just Mere Dolls, They Are Disney History! For Most Of These Characters Lady Tremaine, Ursula, Eric, Mother Gothel, Alice, And Some of The Princesses this Is The First Dolls Of Their Kind. Ursula For Example Has only Had One Doll Since Her Conception Until Last Year, She's One Of My Fave Characters And Finding Such Merchandise Is Rare. Just As For Lady Tremaine They So rarely Made anything With Her. the Upset With Missing A Doll Especially Now Means Paying At Minimum 3 Times What They originally Cost, And I Cant Speak for All But If I had To Pay 300 And Up For Something I could've Gotten For 1oo Is Not Too Appealing. Anyway For me these are something very special and something I've looked forward to for months.

Well said! Rapunzel was the Disney character that completely changed my life and soon after I eventually fell back in love with the other Disney Princess movies like I did when I was a little-er kid. To me, and most other people here, these are definitely not "Just Mere Dolls."

There are a couple of reasons I am shocked. First, I have two young girls and it's simply hard for me to imagine them on the internet at all (except for watching Sofia the First), yet alone on a collector's forum. The other reason it surprises me is that I spent my childhood playing sports (too many) and I would not have had any time at all for collecting. It's not meant to be a judgment in any way, I just have a different perspective. I do think that if my daughters were to someday want to get on this forum and talk with collectors, that I would feel okay with it. People on here are pretty safe and nice. I think it's good for everyone to know that there are kids on here so we can keep it clean. I also enjoy the excitement of waiting for the doll releases. :)

I actually got my mother's permission to join first. :) She and my father both know how obsessed I am with Princesses and Dolls. I was first introduced to the computer when I was two... :o and the internet a few years later. I started to follow this forum when I realized I really love these dolls and that I may not get lucky next time. I got all the LE dolls I have now by just walking into the Disney Store on some random day and by chance there was a doll.

I just realized something. What if.... There was a LE Sophia? She would be pretty small, but it sounds awesome.
