Thanks Shiva, have your dolls come in yet? Hope they all arrive in great condition too! I am so glad that my dolls came in a great condition, they werent completely flawless (Aladdin's hand is in Jasmine's hair and Rapunzel was having an exorcist moment). But nevertheless I am glad that nothing was broken which was good.

I know what you mean about the Frozen dolls, I dont usually collect any other dolls but the Frozen ones just look amazing that I could not pass on them, I thought they were a little bigger though...

My DFDC doll set pre-order is due to arrive tomorrow, so fingers crossed that they also do not have any major flaws or damages! I am really glad that your dolls are in good condition, because they did have to travel such a long way and the shipping costs were so high!

I'm still very disappointed about the fact that the DFDC Snow White & The Prince sets do not match the other dolls in the pre-order cases. Has anyone voiced any complaints to the Disney Store about that yet?

Great pictures, Polaris! The lighting is wonderful to me... not sure why you would need it to get any better, it allows you to see the details of each doll very nicely!

Well, less than 24 hours to go everyone!!!

I'm excited (well, excited and scared...) (bonus points to anyone who gets that reference... ) but I am confident! I know that I am doing everything I possibly could do to try and ensure that I get them, and it has not been too bad so far, so hopefully the hype of tomorrow will fall short of what we're expecting! If I don't get it in store, I'll definitely be up at 3:00 A.M. with all of you! I'm just so pumped and exhilarated, I mean this is THE set! I remember when the pictures first came out, this was originally the only one I REALLY liked, the rest I had to fall in love with as more pictures were released and as I saw them in person. I'm hoping to get it and hoping that everyone here that wants one will be able to get one too!!!

I just want to be 1:00 P.M. at the Disney Store tomorrow, RIGHT NOW!!!

Hey Polaris - I'm so glad your dolls arrived safe and sound. The pics are great, you don't need to worry about lighting. Did yours come in one of those goofy long boxes? They seem like an odd way to package the dolls for safe handling. But if yours came that way, then I guess they work.

Yes it came in that really long box! I was worried that because of how long it was it would have several boxes stacked on top of it during shipping which could possibly apply too much pressure to one end if not balance evenly and result in the box splitting in half but it was all good. Also when I received it, it was stood vertically which means that all the dolls were weighed down against the one doll at the bottom. But luckily the boxes and cases were sturdy enough to hold the weight.

Haha yeah I was hoping it is still a little darker than I would have liked and that is just because I was using the light in the room and if I directed the flash at the dolls it would reflect because of the case, but I got a light box recently so just waiting for that to come in so that I can take better picture of my collection. I cannot wait!

Did your Snow have a different number like others did?

Yes Snow was in the late 4,000s, 4,657 and the rest of the dolls were numbered 161. Shame it was not 31 numbers less because then that would have matched my D23 exclusive Snow and would have been perfect haha. But still im glad I got low numbers. I think this is the first preorder designer set that this has happened to, I really think someone just dropped the ball on Snow because she was the first one hence they sold and shipped them forgetting that they had to set aside a certain number for the preorders. At least it just happened to Snow at the very least.

Good luck, I really hope the dolls get to you in one piece, hopefully they will as the transit is not as bad, to be honest i still cannot believe that those on the west coast have still not received their dolls, even I received mine a good two days before the west coast and they had to travel much farther. I guess UPS is the cheaper of the courier services though so I guess it would take longer...

I agree that was a little silly of Disney and definitely screams someone was not paying attention when they were shipping the dolls haha. I dunno I was considering emailing Disney about it but what can they do? I guess they would just give you another gift card. Oh yeah and I was a little disappointed with my Prince Eric dolls number it is in the 700s which is really annoying because my Ursula and Ariel are in the 300s, would have been better if they were all in the 300s or all different haha. Now its like a broken pattern LOL. But as a plus I am glad that I got both Ursula and Eric safely.

I just spoke with a CM at my store who said that they are going to have 16 dolls and are expecting at least 40 people
They are also holding the raffle at 12 instead of 1 so I might not even be able to make it on time >> Im getting nervous! lol At least I have a second chance to get them on line with everyone

That seems very unfair that they would start calling names at 12 instead of 1 after all the other dolls have started at 1 with the signing beginning at 12. Unless this was advertised way in advance for this particular store, I can only imagine the amount of people who are going to be very upset when they go to sign up only to find they are already calling names! Really weird. Anyway, I hope all works out for you! pixies!

It's not TRUE. Same time. I call 4 stores. All said it will be at 1:15

Even if this is at one individual store, I have to echo this sentiment. I would be peeved if I showed up for the drawing at 1 and found out it had already happened an hour earlier. Not sure why they would change procedure at time, especially if they have to deal with angry customers afterwards.

I am just repeating what my local CM just told me over the phone :dunno: She told me the numbers also so Im assuming she knew what she was talking about... but this is the first time I try for a limited doll so I have no clue what times the other raffles were held. Maybe its just my area that is holding them early?

Guess in your case try to get there a little early before 12 so that you may still have a chance if the raffle is being held at 12 Don't know why they would do that, but it would be better to be safe than sorry

There is just NO WAY that one store can be allowed to do a raffle earlier. Is there any possible way that she meant they'd start taking names for the raffle at 12? I just can't even imagine any special exceptions for any store as far as this raffle is concerned.

Disney is just soooo strict about the process of the raffles that I honestly cannot even IMAGINE them allowing this, especially on the most popular of the sets by far. IF the store is actually doing this, I'd imagine corporate doesn't know anything about it or else they'd get a big giant NO.

Anyway, I go into work tomorrow to do the raffle and I'm antsy about it. Last week we had 10 more names than we had dolls, and we get the most dolls in the city. I can't even imagine what tomorrow is going to be like. I truly feel awful for those who don't get their dolls...

OMG awesome photos Polaris! Yeah that's actually great lighting for your indoor photos. D'aaaaw! Just looking at your Aladdin & Jasmine couple makes me feel all happy inside knowing that somebody has that couple with no flaws what so ever & taken extra care of it. Not dissing out on the other couples though lol. Wow your photo of Ariel & Eric is extremely gorgeous! Just makes me really get excited for them tomorrow if I even have the chance to. I'm glad though you have all your dolls taken care of. Now that you have them all, is there a particular favorite that you like from this collection?

& OMG I don't even know where to put my Ariel & Eric (if I got them) in my room! Like my Disney space is getting bigger. Sorry about the bad lighting in the picture.

My 5 doll set was attempted to be delivered yesterday but I was in work so off today to pick up after I get another ariel and Eric set. Hate to see what I'm gonna be paying in duty and taxes since I paid a fortune in shipping already

I think as a couple Ariel and Eric are the best but Belle just looks amazing on her own and really does stand out. When I get my "Disney" room sorted this weekend I will take more pics and post it.

Ah nice choices! Yeah Belle & Beast would an actual good second for me out of the whole collection. & I do say they did a pretty job on them too for regal wise. I wish they would've made the beast's coat for adult, I would've bought it in a heart beat! Belle's face & gown is extremely stunning too. Has that very soft look to her & the embroidery on her dress is just well made. Still, Aladdin/Jasmine & Ariel/Eric came to a tie for first lol.

For my collection situation, I was hoping after when I go for my Disneyland trip (which is in a week from today, super excited!!) that I would actually get shelves from ikea & put them along on the wall to spread out. OMG believe me, the plush is a different story since the other plush that's in my room is already taking half of my bed already haha. Soo that's why some are sitting on top of those funko pops; which shortly I was going to put them on the wall as well. Here's a picture of where exactly I'm putting on the wall:

Hey everyone I just noticed something, for those that preordered the entire designer set, the price tag appears on the slip case. But if you notice the price on the price tag is the cost of the entire set and not just that one doll. So what this raises to me is that Disney would have placed this specific price tag on the dolls before hand and this would have indicated if they were preorder stock or stock to sell during the releases. So I wonder if they only started putting these price tags onto the dolls after Snow was released hence why Snow is the only doll in the set that has a different number?

Either way it is very interesting and I am not sure why they even bothered to put a price tag on the preorder set (other than the fact that it was used to identify it as a preorder doll rather than as a stock to sell doll), because now it just looks like the one doll itself cost $600+.

Indeed! The Designer Villains pre-order doll sets also featured price tags of the full pre-order set price on them. Of course, they were more organized about making sure that all 6 Designer Villains were the same CoA number... In any case, it's a fun feature that the dolls appear to have cost that much more!
