Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I believe that UPS takes today off, so it is not considered a business day for them. Otherwise, I think my LE Elsa would have been scheduled for delivery today rather than next Monday (given when she was received by UPS and the number of days required for transit from Tennessee to California). In any case, enjoy the film tomorrow! :)
UPS is delivering today. I just saw a truck in my neighborhood.

Disney is sending me my Elsa! I called them again today after I saw that i was refunded after I asked them to hold out longer and they said they had some in stock and were sending me one now! they had to get my card info again to charge me since they refunded it but oh well I'm getting her!!!

Congratulations! :) I learned through my phone calls to DS customer service over this mess with my LE Anna that their system is constantly updating with stock as it comes in and is re-entered into their inventory system. Unfortunately, you can never anticipate when that will happen, as the lost dolls that are returning to the warehouse and/or returned dolls could potentially come in at any time. So it all comes down to timing and luck at this point. Supposedly, if these dolls remain in the system by the time midnight PST rolls over on the weekday mornings, that is when we actually see them available online. This definitely explains those constant reappearances of the Designer Villains from time to time all those months. Also, this is the reason why for those of us experiencing lost dolls that they cannot issue or order a replacement unless the inventory shows available stock (so again, it's all down to timing).

This is kind of unrelated, but I just came back from watching Frozen (for the third time) and saw my most favorite Disney Princess. When the gates have been opened and people are going in, I saw Rapunzel. She had her pink dress (she wears and the end of the movie) and short brown hair. I nearly screamed in the theater when I saw her.

Here's some pictures of my girls I took today. I really love them and it doesn't even bother me to know the Harrod's set is more detailed because I think these two are really beautiful in person. I did have to wash some grey gunky glue off of Anna's elbow joint though when I got her. :|

And Elsa.

Thanks!!! I guess I was in that lucky group! I was pretty upset about losing it and Im glad I was able to get her back. I know I did get one (Anna and Elsa arrived the other day and I have displayed them nicely in my room!) but I really wanted another one to debox as I keep my 17" dolls boxed unless I get extras (I did this with Ariel too) And I felt like I was missing something not being able to open one as well as Elsa landing in my top spot with Ariel after seeing the film and loving every little bit of it! So now I can display my deboxed Favorites right next to each other!!!

I hope this all works out for everyone else. Just keep calling and voice your concerns but keep it civil and kind and they will try their hardest for you and the people Ive worked with have been wonderful! Hopefully you all will get as lucky as I did and you won't have to resort to resellers

:x:

Yay my Anna and Elsa are finally here with me in Mexico! Elsa is beautiful, and I'm glad my Anna has the right amount of freckles in her face.

Hey everyone, so I got my dolls yesterday and I am so in love with them! It was like another Christmas yesterday! I got my dolls, some more pins and even got the new PS4 which I was so excited about! I didnt know where to start or what I should unpack first, the dolls or the PS4! LOL

Anyway I took photos of the dolls and compared them against the other photos I have taken before of the Harrods set so here they are. Please note that the Harrods set is always the photo on the left and the normal edition is the one on the right.

Clear difference in the skin tone of Elsa. In the Harrods set she has the pearly color just like the Ursula doll did whereas the normal set she does not have this same effect.

You can see a very clear pattern difference in the dress, it may look like the normal dress is paler than the Harrods set but that is just because of the lighting.

Again you can see there is more embroidery in the Harrods doll compared to the Normal one.

Anna appears to have fewer variances in appearance compared to Elsa, apart from having no freckles from her neck down in the normal set and maybe a few minor differences in the hair there is not much in terms of a difference.

This part of Anna's dress has the least amount of difference, as everything looks identical even down to the patter on the dress and the number of rhinestones used.

This part of Anna's dress you can definitely see the differences as more rhinestones are used in the Harrods set.

So really there arent that many differences at all, most of which we already pointed out in the first place other than that you pretty much have the same doll. Also I checked and Elsa's shoes are the same for both doll sets.

Here are pics of my dolls on display, had to make room for them so unfortunately I had to put away my designer Cinderella (since I have the silver one and they look the same anyway other than the difference in dress color).

Here is my latest pin haul

Thank you for the pictures! There definitely isn't that many differences and I honestly like the LE 2500 Elsa better. The only thing I'd like to add to LE 2500 Anna is the freckles on her shoulders, otherwise she's perfect!

Awesome comparison photos! Bet it was like Christmas day at your house! Hope the PS4 is treating you well, didn't book a day off work did you?! :)

Haha no, no days off for me, in fact I had all these chores I had to do before I could even play the PS4 and I had to do them first or it would have bothered me haha. Also started putting the Christmas decorations up too so that was fun! LOL so didnt really get much game time!

Thanks for the comment on the pics. I found it interesting to see the minor differences when you have to two next to each other and at the end of the day it really highlights that the variances really were minor!

The only differences I think are really big (to me) are Anna's freckle coverage and Elsa's snowflake embroidery. The extra crystals look minor and nearly everything else is the same.

Amazing pictures as always! thanks for sharing. Love the side by side shot of the set and the individual dolls. They are all gorgeous. I hope that after the craziness dies down which will probably after the holidays that I can get an Anna as she is lovely. I will be crossing my finger that they release an LE of Anna in her snow gear, that would make me happy and I shall be content with at least one version of her, lol.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun taking the pics and comparing them. I just tried sending you a PM about this but your mailbox is full, let me know when you have had a chance to empty it out and ill try send it again! Thanks!

SUPER CRAZY EXCITED!!!!! My tracking information says my Elsa is out for delivery!!!!
(Good God though, it feels like I ordered her like 3 months ago.)
GAH! I wanna leave work early!! :D

OHMYGODSHEISBEAUTIFUL!!!!!
I got my Elsa doll today!!! She. Is. STUNNING!
Also, Disney should seriously use a better camera for their stock photos. Seriously. I was actually worried that she was going to look kinda cheaply and/or tacky. No. She is GORGEOUS! I am so happy that I bought her (and her shipping was successful.)
:D
Now, I am going to enjoy this no-doll-for-a-while hiatus. :)

Finally got Anna and Elsa today, too. I love them so much I can't stop staring at them. :wat:

Still very much going through a Frozen Phase though. I would love to see and some adult costumes of Anna and Elsa's dresses (coronation and winter). Also some statues of the Anna with the Arendelle castle and Elsa with her Ice castle maybe? :D

My LE Anna and LE Elsa that were scheduled to arrive today did arrive and are in good order. :) My LE Anna that was lost last Wednesday by UPS seems to have been delivered to another address, and I was told that the chances of recovery are slim to none, so I accepted the online gift card. After all, I know that I will be making more DS.com orders... Congratulations to everyone who is receiving their dolls!

I don't remember if it was on this thread, but someone had asked to see LE Snow White and LE Alice next to LE Elsa and LE Anna. I will be posting pictures of the reigning queens of the LE dolls alongside my new acquisitions in the Disney Doll Appreciation Thread.

Kind of appalled to hear all the shipping issues going on here with Elsa and Anna. As I said in the Frozen thread, mine showed up today along with my sister's order. I met the UPS guy on the porch and noticed he was only carrying three boxes, not four. I pointed that out and he said that's all he had. Checking her tracking, the Anna shows everything and lists two packages in the number of items, which I guess confused her. The order page even has the same tracking for both dolls (so does mine). However, one of the two emails lists a different tracking number for Elsa, and this one says it's still waiting for pickup! Apparently my sister didn't check this until now sadly.

We call Disney Store. All they can say is "call UPS, they have it" and that they have none left, the woman being very unhelpful. We call UPS and they say they never picked it up, so it should still be with Disney so call them. We do, and get a somewhat more sympathetic woman. Again, she reiterates that UPS must have it and they can't send what they don't have. She offers a refund and $10 coupon and my sister's despondent enough to accept. We try several times to see if she can be put on some sort of waiting list in case they get a return. They won't, and state they haven't received any returns and if they do, they'll be relisted and she can try to buy it again with her refund money.

We get off the phone and try UPS once more. This guy is again more helpful than the last, telling me that I can have it listed as lost and open a tracking ticket with Disney. He even calls them at my request to set the investigation up. My sister gets upset because Disney didn't even make this seem an option. So UPS is currently tracking Elsa and the tracking page stats it's starting with our local hub. It should take a few days.

Now she's worried about the refund. I tell the UPS guy that if they mention it we want the doll, not the refund. She calls Disney once more about it and talks to a supervisor. At this point she's still pretty upset and the woman isn't helping. My sister can't even get a clear response on what happens if UPS finds it and sends it back to Disney now that they've started a refund she can't get them to cancel. All the woman does is reiterate that "UPS lost it", claims it was last seen in California (which surprised me as this was before I saw the updated tracking. Yes, she confused the lost item request as stating it was in Ceres), never entertains the possibility that it was lost in their warehouse (there's no origin scan on the doll at all) and, the icing on the cake, states repeatedly and emphatically that, "I've never seen them find an item that they've lost". As far as they're concerned, it's lost, they didn't lose it, it's sold out and even if they get more we're not guaranteed one and they already said she'd get her money back and a coupon small enough to not even buy the classic doll so everything's good to them. I couldn't even get an answer on what if they find the doll, ship it to us and she still gets the refund other than "they never find lost things". Sounds like they don't even care if she winds up getting it for free.

This whole thing has put a sour note on finally getting these dolls. It pains me that I got mine and my sister didn't get hers and I'm shocked that UPS seems to care more than Disney does after they pride themselves on customer service. Disney sounds like they're not even trying to find out what happened. My sister's a DS seasonal cast member too. She's never ordering from them online again. I'm calling Ceres tomorrow.

Side note, am I the only that thinks these dolls likely go missing in part to the big "ELSA LE DOLL" sticker on them? Also love how they're categorized as "Girl's Toys".
