Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Hey guys I created a group, DPF Disney Limited Edition Collectors
It is by invite online and only people within the group can read posts. I can add you by email if you like, just pm me your email and ill add you. From there you can then invite others who you believe are true collectors as well and would need the info
I didnt specify it as dolls because I wanted to leave the thread open to any LE Disney items and not just the dolls but I guess it will just predominantly be about dolls though
Quick, sort of selfish question here.
How safe do you pros think it would be to try and preorder about 3 hours after they go on sale? I have to be up for work at 5:00 (central time) and the 2:00 release messes with that quite a bit. If it's not safe, I will try to get some sleep beforehand, and try to nap afterword, but I am not a good sleeper in general so I'll just be loopy all day I'm sure.
But bottom line, how late is safe for these doll based on guesses/past experience?
If you really want them, you'd better not wait. I think the sharks have these in their sights and lots of collectors love the movie. I don't think either doll will last an hour. Last fall the dolls started going faster and faster. It's not safe to wait!

I can't see who the buyer was. It was a BIN. Unless there is a way to see, Im not really sure.Seriously why do they even bother? LOL Maybe they were trying to prove a point or something? But I dont think anyone is silly enough to believe it as it is obviously fake. Did you see whether or not the buyer has a feedback at all?
Wow, I didn't realize that group would get 60 members in less than a day. I guess it goes to show how many people watch this thread and don't post, it seems like there is only 20 or so members who post regularly. Come out to swim, my friends! The water is fine!
I'm glad it is by referral. I think we sometimes get a lot of people who post once or twice to get vital information and then disappear forever, so it is good there will be a system to make sure people are truly into it. Are you going to weed out people who don't contact you about their username on the Forum? I think if it is truly "exclusive" people should be open to sharing who they are on there.
I think it's crazy about that $10000 set! It has to be fake, there is no other way. I know some people fall victim to typing in the wrong search terms and finding "off-the-beaten-track" listings as I call them and think they might be one of the only listings and be willing , but there is no way this was the case. I wish re-sellers would leave well enough alone! I'm grateful to them because they have allowed for me to get things I've missed in the past, but some of them think they are being so smart and everyone can see right through them! Can't they just accept they will get a big enough payday as it is without trying to trick people (which they have not done effectively) into thinking it is worth that much? It's so silly!
Hey there! It looks like we started on the same boat! I too, started finding about these Disney limited edition dolls last summer & thank goodness too cause I only love The Little Mermaid & Aladdin. Cause I have all three of the little mermaid LE dolls & the Ariel & Eric & Aladdin & Jasmine fairytale designer sets. Soo thank goodness Frozen isn't one of my top movies but I was sad that I couldn't get the previous Elsa for my sister cause she loved her from the whole movie. Personally my favorite character is Olaf but that's a different story ;] lol. Sadly though, I wasn't quick enough to discover about the Disney designer princess & villain set & could've got Ursula, Jasmine, & Ariel at retail price. Since I started working for the Disney story back in Nov. 2011. It was because I worked in a Disney outlet store & they usually don't get limited edition items.
Anyways, some good advices is if you have a nearby Disney store, be sure to be there early or ask if they're giving away those number "cards" in order to get one. Cause it is first come first serve with these dolls. Plus I'm pretty sure it is also one doll per person & hopefully you get one of each. I do not know why some stores did that last time cause I know both of the stores in Calgary, you could get either or both. Plus I'm pretty sure you get those cool cardholders to keep your receipts in for the pre-sales. I know I kept mine when Ariel was released cause they asked me if I wanted to keep it & was like HECK YEAH! I'll post some pics of it of what it looked like. But I'm 100% sure they will have some for second versions of both Anna & Elsa when they do pre-orders. If you're ordering online, be prepared to have your funds & the time ready to do so. Plus make sure you're on the right timezone for the release. Good luck on getting them! :]

I just want to cry sometimes over the 3 am thing. I get up around 2:45 am to prepare. I buy. I try to go to sleep, but I am just messed up the rest of the day. I sometimes wish Disney could be fair to the East Coast people. Push it back to midnight est. We East Coast collectors are dying, Disney. Sleep deprivation. *sob*That's what I figured. Oh well! Like the first ones, these are just too lovely to miss out on. I'll have lots of coffee before work. Thanks!
On Ebay , both parties can request and agree to cancel the transaction, but it still looks like the sale went through. Usually the seller will initiate it and the buyer will be asked by Ebay if the buyer also wants to cancel, if yes, the seller gets their fees returned. I had this happen when I bought a Tonner doll and the seller had sold it at the same time in her shop. I could still give feedback so it will appear like a legitimate sale on Ebay, but we both agreed to void the sale. So if the seller and an accomplice are doing this to get the value up, I think it is relatively easy.LOL that's a good point, the person will have to pay $1k worth of fees to ebay LOL.
Unless of course they then lodge a non payment claim? Because they reverse the fees then but it would still look like the item sold as it is still recorded on ebay as a sale as ebay does not indicate if a sale was reversed due to no payment. It still appears green and sold when you do a sold only search.
Hey guys!
I don't post here often, but I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. Without you I never would have gotten my LE dolls! I'm truly grateful for all of the information you guys post here. You really make collecting these dolls a lot easier! I only own three dolls so far (Merida, Ariel and Snow Queen Elsa) but I'm mad about these dolls and I really hope one day I can get Belle, since she's my favorite Disney princess.
I'm in love with Coronation Elsa. I think I prefer her above Anna, but I'm still not sure if I should buy Elsa or Anna. I already own Snow Queen Elsa, but not Coronation Anna and I would love it to have both the sisters. But I prefer Elsa as a character, and as a doll, plus I don't really like the way Anna her clothes look, they look kinda stiff to me. Hope 'real' pictures will pop up soon, so I can make a decision! March can't come soon enough!
Anyone here who lives internationally, who bought the Frozen dolls from Disney Store US... Could you please let me know how much shipping did cost for both of them together in the same order?

Same as you, I love Coronation Elsa! I'm still thinking about buying Anna and I think I'm going for it. If I end up not liking her, I can maybe trade her for another doll.
@mrs_yunluoglu: I'm guessing at least $60. And there's a 99% chance you'll have to pay import costs, which aren't cheap either.
Yeah, I thought about that too. But I'm afraid I won't have enough money for both by March. I looove Anna's face on the doll though! It's so movie accurate. Ugh, I hope I can make up my mind soon!
