this is just me putting in my 2 cents(ive seen alot of these dolls sell fast)
and based on the last sale they sold out in 2 hours
but you also have to think
there are ALOT more people that seen frozen and like it
therefore
they could sell out fast
but no one knows until the sell date(or in this case pre-order. but thats based on others)
so i want to say you have a good chance but idk

I'm a night owl so im use to staying up late at night
thankfully i dont have work on the 10th so i can rest
but im so happy to hear im not the only one thats not able to sleep after a sale
idk i start to worry i get the cancelled email
so i know where i'll be after the preorder :drool:

I have sleep deprivation staying up til midnight! It's hard to nap between 9 pm and 11:30 p.m. so I end up staying up and then it takes an hour to go to sleep and then have to get up at 5:30 a.m. for work :P

I agree with the sleep deprivation.... I get up at 2am, buy, then try to go back to sleep til 4:30 for work. Messes me up too! Ugh.
 
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is well! I have not been able to log on as much in the last 2 weeks because my sister is visiting, but boy oh boy am I excited for this Friday! I cannot wait to pre-order these beauties. I love them both, but to me Elsa looks fantastic, I love her long plumb colored cape, gorgeous! I cannot wait to have her next to my Snow Queen Elsa, they will look awesome next to each other ♥

Definitely not! I'll do both for sure, but I love the forum and would never leave it. I have to say I'm shocked by how many people are in the facebook group now though. I sort of 'know' the active posters here, I didn't realize so many other members were following the thread XD

Back on topic, I think we have a good idea of the LE dolls this year, the two Frozen releases+/- a surprise bluray release in the spring and very likely Sleeping Beauty dolls in the fall. Is Aladdin up for bluray in 2015? We only have Jasmine, Pocahontas and Mulan left out of the original 10 princesses right?

(Not counting the 'designer' dolls as they are a different line)

Those 3 and Aurora, yep--actually, those are the only ones left out of the full lineup right now (since Merida, Elsa and Anna came out with their releases). I wonder what they'll do once they've released those?

Uggggh I'm not sure if I should join the group. Since last time I try to get LE Elsa, there was already 5 people there & they only had 5 dolls of each available. Except last time I totally didn't know they had some too at the other mall. Soo this time I'll try my luck to go to the closer store to me & try there. Plus they raised the LE size which I'm soo happy they did. Gotta get snow gear Anna for my store prize & coronation Elsa for my sister :D

I'm hoping Aladdin is coming out in 2015, just in time for D23 Expo. & hopefully it'll be sleeping beauty this fall. I'm just a little worry though if they're gonna bring it randomly this year. Since there was an Aladdin vinylmation jr. Set that was just released today (which I'm gonna get the full case lol) but hopefully it doesn't mean anything just yet.

Anyways, I'm just soo happy Frozen isn't in my top favorite movies. I would've been bankrupt with all these merchandise they've been releasing. But Olaf is definitely one of my favorite character from the movie itself. & thankgoodness they didn't make some sort of LE Swarovski statue of him or I would cry a little. But Elsa & Anna is beyond gorgeous with their details on the 2nd versions of these dolls.

I don't know why this happens with every LE order, and don't know if I can take it anymore! LOL :eek:
 
The way I see it I am hoping for the following:
2014:
- Anna and Elsa (preorder Jan release Mar)
- Aurora (preorder Jul/Aug release Oct)
- Designer line (Aug-Oct) more than likely the DFDC part 2 line
- Maleficent (release Oct)
- Possible Prince Phillip (release Oct)
- A non heirloom doll based on a Big Hero 6 character as that is the WDAS movie coming out in Nov this year

2015:
- Possible Pocahontas LE as next year is the 20th anniversary of Pocahontas so would be the perfect time to release her as a surprise release earlier in the year, I will be disappointed if Disney does not take up this opportunity to release her, since her movie was already released on bluray.
- Should Aladdin be getting the diamond edition release then we can expect Jasmine for preorder in Jul/Aug to be released in Oct
- Aladdin to be released in Oct
- Jafar (first male villain doll) to be released in Oct
- Designer line that will be based on the princesses again as it is another expo year and they generally love releasing the princesses during an expo year as it generally increases sales more due to people buying more merchandise at the expo especially when it relates to something as popular as princesses.

2016:
- Possible Mulan release but there is no special event for Mulan (unless Disney makes one) to justify a release for Mulan this year her 20th anniversary is not until 2018 so the same year Moana is supposed to come out.
- This is the 20th anniversary year for Hunchback so we could possibly see an Esmeralda doll come out, it is a long shot since Disney did omit a Wendy doll back in 2012 even though Peter Pan was released as a diamond edition.

Going forward I definitely think that we should be seeing one of three things happening either:
- Disney slows down these doll releases as there wont be as many "events" coming up in the near future
- Disney will release different versions of characters already released or characters originally omitted e.g Belle in a different outfit, Evil Queen from Snow White possibly even basing some dolls on live action movies.
- Disney will release dolls for different characters outside of the princesses designing them in a similar manner as the heirloom dolls similar to what was done with Alice.

The tricky thing is that a lot of the upcoming animated movies for Disney appear to be animal based and it is very unlikely that they will make a LE doll based on an animal e.g Finding Dory, Zootopia, The Good Dinosaur.

Disney appears to be going down the track of turning their well known and loved animated films in live action movies, so we could definitely see more dolls based on live action characters:
- Maleficent (based on Sleeping Beauty) May 30 2014
- Cinderella (based on the cartoon of the same name) Mar 13 2015
- The Jungle Book (based on the cartoon of the same name) Oct 9 2015
- Alice in Wonderland 2 (loosely based on the cartoon) May 27 2016
The only doll released to be based on a movie was China Doll and she was not part of the heirloom collection so we could potentially see the heirloom collection coming to a close in the near future as there would be no other character to release as a doll. But knowing Disney they may find at way to re-release characters in a different form to make more money out of the dolls especially after how popular they have become.

Hi. I've ben a follower of this site for around 3 months but have collected Disney dolls for a long time. I have all the Disney Designer dolls and stated the 17" dolls with Rapunzel. I've had to pay secondary for some as I've missed them. I read this forum a lot as I love dolls. Before these dolls, I collected Marie Osmond Disney dolls. Any one else from MN? Sorry, I've been just a lurker!
 
101 Dalmatians is a film on the Diamond Edition list, so a LE Cruella de Vil would not be unexpected in the future, especially as she is the only character from that film that is popular enough to warrant a LE doll (sorry, Anita just does not make the cut seeing as how they skipped Pocahontas, Mulan, and Wendy). Cruella de Vil is also one of the more popular Disney Villains. If they tone down the sexy, I think she will sell out rather rapidly.

I would LOVE a LE Cruella! She's my favorute villain and I was 101 Dalmatians obsessed as a kid (I never wore anything else besides Dalmatian clothes, owned way too many toys of the movie and even named my bunny Dalmatian) and I think they could make her look stunning. Would also love Jasmine and Mulan

I truly hope for next year ( expo year!!) they could make the designer line based on other beloved leading ladies like Tink and Alice..... Etc. they are very popular and they will sell very fast I believe. They can also add Anna and Elsa in there, too!! I feel like with this year's designer fairytale and then follow another princess designer series it will just be a little too much ( same characters plus same line)
 
I hope they make other heirloom dolls from films that aren't from the Disney Princess franchise. Don't get me wrong, I love my princesses, but it seems odd that Alice is really the odd one out (unless you play KH and count her as one of the seven princesses of heart haha). I'd love a Cruella and an Evil Queen as well since those are the only really popular female Villains (except Maleficent which we should hopefully get this year) that haven't been done yet. I'd also like Belle and Tiana so they can have more than one doll in their line. Given we would get an Evil Queen, those would be the only two gals who have just one doll. I'd love to have Tiana in either that gorgeous flapper outfit from Almost There (wouldn't we all?) and Belle either in her pink dress and red cloak or else a really nice version of her blue dress (I would absolutely die out of happiness). Maybe by the time they release it from the vault again we can get an alternate outfit? As long as it is executed better than the one we have. :/

I also hope the men aren't skimped on. Now that we have an Eric, it is kind of essentially to have other male counterparts or I think he'll look really awkward...

I do really sincerely hope we'll get a Pocahontas and Mulan and they don't skip them. They've made the designer dolls in the past and proved they sold and honestly the line is popular enough now that they will guaranteed to be sold, so I hope they aren't the only two princesses left out. Now that they're opening it up more and producing a lot (holy cow, four for Frozen already and it has essentially been out for a month and a half) I feel like they'll figure out some way to get them in.

I definitely agree with you on this one and wish it were the case wherein the would stop releasing constant designers of the same characters. It would be nice to see something different. I for one controversially do not think they should continue the DFDC line as that has been done before so should not be done again as it lacks originality yes several characters were omitted from the line but the same could be said about the other Disney Heroines that deserve their turn in the spotlight, also doing another DFDC line will mean Merida will be omitted from the line again for another year in a row and she is a bona fide princess. That being said a lot of people on the forum have stated that it is confirmed they are doing a part 2 of the line so I have conceded to the fact that we are getting DFDC part 2. I think they should really showcase other characters this year for the designer line and if they decide to go back to doing princesses again next year that is fine but at least give the princesses a break, having the same theme two years in a row will mean there is no excitement. I remember last year we were all speculating what the new designer line would be but this year there is no speculation because everyone is just expecting DFDC 2.

I just hope that we do get a surprise and it is not what we expected because I feel like Disney is slowly losing their originality that they had with this designer concept and it is just starting to become a major commercial project for them instead.

Oh my goodness, I hope they release a Jasmine doll for the diamond edition in 2015. She is my absolute favorite, and in a way started my big surge in collecting (though Frozen got me into the 17" ones). Other than that, I should be able to fight against the other dolls for awhile, except maybe a Tiana/Naveen DFC if done well.

Not sure if I would have to go for Aladdin and Jafar if they're released as well. I love them and the movie, but I don't think I would just HAVE to have them. But it's all speculation of course! :) We'll find out much later, I'm sure.

But yes, I need a Jasmine doll. Badly.
