You honestly could make a killing selling things from Japan on the internet. There's Disney, Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Arpakasso, and a lot of other anime and cute stuff people would eat up that they don't have access to.

So true!! And all the cute little stationary and keychains etc etc!! When I go to expos I always buy a bunch of cute things from the Japanese stalls :)

To be perfectly honest, this is what I'm hoping to.
I do not plan on getting rich or even make a living on it, but since I'm going to be a housewife the first few years, it would be nice with a little amount of extra money. Overall I'm just looking into my chances of becoming a middleman between Japan and the rest of the world (not just with Disney things - but with everything). Also because I've liked Japan since elementary school and around that time there was so many things I wanted to buy from Japan, but like many of you probably know, it's not that easy without knowing the right people. And it's often a costly process - so I want to be the nice and cheap alternative. :)

But, I also want you all to know that the help I offer on here, to my fellow Disney fans is not a part of any business plans. I truly just want to help out - so I hope that in the fall I'll be able to make a thread in the "other" for sale area, offering a selection of things to order from the Japanese Disney store - I'll probably start out with the small things, like jewelry, iPhone covers, straps, stationary items, etc. (things which are very cheap to ship and won't give any custom issues).

That's so kind of you :)! I can't wait to see what you have for sale in the fall! I'm saving up to go to Tokyo in the next few years! It's a dream of mine to visit :)

What's weird is that theyre willing to spend money on a costume that will only be worn once. Like elinor. Why not just have a face character of her there? You already have the costume!

As for Elsa's coronation outfit, I can see it going completely wrong...

Elinor was at the food and wine festival so technically she wore it twice :lol:


Does anyone know when exactly they will be coronated? So I can win the lottery and go see it :lol:

If they don't plan on using it more than once though they only have to make one in the size of the actress though. Even though the costumes are expensive, the cost of one is just a drop in the bucket compared to all the money they can charge to come see her in the costume. Did that make any sense? :lol:

True disney store in Japan or TDL/ TDS are all a little focus on Adult stuff, but I do believe they sell Kid's toy ( disney) in those toy stores. I have a 6 year old brother, and we usually go to toy park in Ginza for play toys. But he do enjoy DS Japan too.
 
Let's hope that Disney does not follow the last two schedules. Rapunzel came out in theaters in Nov 2010. She was coronated in October 2011 (11 mos). Brave came out in June 2012. She was coronated May 2013 (11 mos). If they follow the 11 month schedule (12 if you count month that movie was released), 11 mos would be October 2014--since Frozen came out November 2013. I wonder if they will up the schedule to cash in on Elsa's popularity?
 
I still have not figured out how a queen is downgraded to a princess? LOL. I realize the Princess line is just a marketing scheme, and the actual royalty part has never really mattered--although it is a hotly debated issue, lord knows! But shouldn't Queen Elsa remain Queen and not Princess? I'm sure this has been discussed already.
 
You guys... I just noticed something..

The symbol/logo of Elsa's coronation is a silhouette of her in her coronation outfit..

So why not use it for this coronation doll?

That is an awesome idea! You get some extra money and you also will get a whole bunch of happy people around the worls :) I have a friend i USA that does this for extra money. She buys things in USA and sells them om Swedish ebay because we have so few things here.

I REALLY love the DS japan things. I love all the Minnie stuff they have! I would love to buy it all. Especially the new Minnie and Mickey valetines stuff.

Is that typical of released merch in Japan to have Mickey profile instead of the three circle Mickey we see in US merch?

I'm sure she will come back...that was the toddler version so I know they will make an animator version in future since Frozen is doing so well so you will have another chance even if this one isn't replenished. Since it is OE item it should be replenished though! I'm waiting fir the separate classics myself...kicking myself of the decisions i made that now have me without them...but good luck:-)

Not sure about the Disney Store but I know years ago from working at a department store January was the month to get rid of items in order to do inventory, etc for the and of a year, the from February new items start to come out again. I'm hoping its the same sort of pattern with Disney. right now they want to move the stock they have so they can see what is around, etc and then hopefully soon more things will come back out
