Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
I never got the hype about "Alice in Wonderland", "UP" and "Brave"... which I guess is the good thing about Disney - there's a movie for everyone :)

I love Alice in Wonderland but I also love the books and the Victorian era in general. I think Tim Burton and Hot Topic has made it popular with that particular crowd that shops there, and I think they like it because it could be considered ''edgy'' because some think it's about drugs etc.

My renaissance list would be something like this.

1. Beauty & The Beast
2. Little Mermaid
3. Mulan
4. Aladdin
5. Pocahontas
6. Hercules
7. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
8. Tarzan
9. The Lion King
10. The Rescuers: Down Under

I disagree with this. 2D Traditional animation and 3D CGI animation are each extraordinarily difficult in their own rights. Neither is more impressive or superior. Each has their strengths and weaknesses. Personal preference is one thing, but you can't consider your opinion something that is factual and use that to determine that one is better than the other. :)

I only meant it as my opinion and how I think of it. I didn't mean to say it is a fact. :) Sort of in terms that I think math is very easy. Someone else might not. Or how I might think writing is tedious and difficult, but someone else might think it is a breeze. That's all I meant.

I don't know if anyone has said anything about these yet, but in Japan they are giving away cute Elsa and Anna phone charms for pre-ordering tickets and there are a few listed on eBay. I won a set last night for $30 including shipping from Japan. I'm going to keep mine in the Japanese packaging but you could attach them to your phone or 3DS if you wanted to.

You can see them here: http://www.disney.co.jp/movies/anayuki/ticket/index.html

30 USD? Auch...
I just looked at Japanese auctions and they are "buy now" for 7-9 USD.
Japanese people loves straps, so there'll always be straps for most Disney characters/movies.
Too bad I'm not in Japan right now since I would be able to get these straps to Frozen fans a lot cheaper than ebay (pretty sure it would be less than 13 USD - shipping incl.) - I'm getting all my disney stuff shipped to my father-in-law's house  But I won't be in Japan before September, so that would be too late to ship these out to people. But in that time, if people have something they want in Japan (straps, Japanese soundtracks, pins, etc.) please let me know :)

Eep! I wish I'd known. I saw them going for more so I didn't think it was too bad since I usually buy Pokemon straps for around $15 each. I'm jealous you'll have access to Disney Store Japan! I love admiring everything on their website.

Yes, I just looked at the sold listings on ebay. (30-40 USD!) Damn these Japanese ebay people are making money! I even wrote to my husband about it... thinking of buying a few sets of straps on the Japanese auctions now. There's at least 3 sets for 7.5 USD. Other sets are going for 10 USD, so maybe I should get the cheap ones while they're still there...
Like I said, once I move to Japan in September I would love to help people get things from Japan - including the Japanese Disney store :) The first few years I'll probably be a housewife (since daycare for kids in Japan is almost nonexistent), so it would be nice to have something to spend my time on.

Wow! Thats a big price difference! I have been looking at these for my daughters for a while now but its just to much money! Wish I had connections in Japan! :D

Funny, I was just thinking how much I sort of dislike the stuff on the disney store japan site. I keep stalking it and the US version for Frozen things, though it seems like plushes and classic dolls don`t really catch on (I had hoped to find some at Tokyo Disneyland but they are sort of limited on toys....seems mostly geared towards home goods.......)

This! その通りだ!笑
No classic dolls whatsoever! It's like the Japanese store doesn't like toys, sometimes I think they aim a little too much for adults in Japan, rather than children. I mean, the Japanese Disney store has pages and pages of bags, jewelry, wallets and iPhone covers, but the only dolls you can get is the animators' dolls.
I bought all my classic dolls on Yahoo! Auction - considering that they are importing from the US, 19 USD pr. doll wasn't so bad.
The Japanese store will of course get some Frozen things once the movie is released, but I doubt they would get the classic dolls, since they don't sell any of the others.
And don't even get my started on how Tiana is nonexistent in Japan .... :| Japan really likes the blond girls, which is why I'm sure Frozen will be a hit.

well, I was going to reply with something like "I think the Disney store is geared more to adults" but didn`t quite say that. We have had to go through various sources, yahoo japan, my sister, etc to get stuff for my 4 year old DD who loves Princesses. We were back in the US for Christmas and saw frozen, of course by new years it was really too late to get much of anything. I managed to find the mini Elsa and Anna plushes from target though. She really wants one of the classic dolls though at the moment. Considering she doesn`t need anything, I can bide my time and wait and hope the US Disney store gets them back in stock as I don`t want to pay for price gauging just because I don`t have easy access to items like over there.

I do wish the uk and fr sites would sell a bit more internationally though, as they do still have some things in stock

funny that is why I love Japan disney store so much lol they did make a lot of adult merch, with beautiful designs on them. US store just don't have that much option for adult at all on the other hand.It is very unique from the rest IMO. ( especially the Ariel collection they release over last summer, it is so pretty!) plus I think they did get the 10 doll gift set when I went there last time ( I live in Taiwan and usually go to tokyo every 3 months) so I will wait and see if they get Frozen classic dolls. I mean they saw how big Frozen is now in US and Europe and EVERYWHERE......... And they know how to make money...... So I will say they probably will :p

That's also why I like the Japanese Disney Store! I love the purses, jewelry, clothes, and iPhone cases. I also really loved the Ariel line they released last summer too and all of the Alice and Marie things they always have. I cant wait to see if they release a cute iPhone case for Elsa.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but the 2 doll giftset is now sold out on the website. I was going to buy it this week too! :(

I can't wait for their coronation. I'm worried about Elsa's outfit, because apparently the costume designer who was assigned the project, this is his first one!! Or so that is the rumor (no valid source, hence the word rumor!). But I am sure they will both be lovely. I wish I could go during their coronation!!

I like their jewelry - especially the snow white necklace and earrings - maybe I'll get them the next time I buy from there.
The Japanese disney store seems more popular than I thought. It's nice to know, since I in a near future hope to make Japanese disney things more available to international fans. :)

Oh that's great to hear! I'd love some of the merch from the Japanese DS but currently don't have a way to. (Also I want lots of Studio Ghibli things. That's sort of Disney since Disney distributes their stuff in the US, right? Haha.)

Maybe that's just it, I don't care too much for it because I'm not buying things for myself, but for my four year old who wouldn't be so very interested in most of it. I do wish they had Christmas ornaments here, I always check Tokyo Disney Land when we go (always around Christmas time as my daughter has a November birthday) and am always disappointed they don't have anything.
