Pre-ordered Frozen blu-ray, got the lithographs and as I suspected, they didn't improve once I saw them in hand.
People are constantly asking when they're getting Frozen merch. It was nuts!
They had: Big Olaf plush, toddler dolls, Elsa beanie purse, Anna and Elsa towel, tees, Hans and Kristoff dolls, 3 singing Anna, Anna costume, and the puppet set. Surprised they had some. Apparently they re-stocked today, and something Elsa sold out (I was there at 2 pm) wow.

Question for people who got affected by the whole Target and chase thing.
I pre-ordered the LE dolls under the card that I had but they sent me a new one. I haven't activated it yet because I didn't want my pre-orders to get cancelled. What is the procedure?

I just got my new card as well. I still have to call the disneystore as well. But I had to change my card last year on my Ariel order. Just call guest services and let them know you need to change your payment information. This shouldnt affect your order status or anything :) Also make sure you activate your card within the date they gave you or Chase will close that entire account.

I just read that book today. I was disappointed that they make Elsa off as being overly calm, loving geometry (which she might, but so could Anna), having good manners, liking tea time over having fun outside, caring a lot about "looking good prim and proper as a princess", and otherwise being very put together and reserved. When in fact, Elsa hates being stuck inside, is forcing herself to be reserved and quiet, and wants her freedom to be herself and to PLAY!

i felt like the book didn't understand Elsa at all.

It made Anna off as being a total obnoxious goof that Elsa didn't like the behavior of. Anna might be playful, and goofy, but she wasn't obnoxious or a pest and it hurt Elsa that she couldn't join in on the fun.

It was kind of a sad book to me because it didnt understand either girl. But yes the art is gorgeous. :)


I also think Frozen as a whole is a sad story. How horrible for Anna and Elsa to have lost so many years together. It is a heavy story even with the happy ending.

It is so frustrating what people are asking for the november frozen dolls on ebay and even the facebook groups!!!! Of course they are the only two I missed, and now they are priced ridicuously high by ebay scalpers!
 
Well... there's also the re-release..

There have been rumors of Disney re-releasing Frozen in 3D in the holiday. That's why the held off on releasing a 3D blu-ray. *shrug*

Yep, started selling on the Disney Store a while ago and sold out. There's little chance it'll sell again on the store though, but you can't really tell, even some Disney Store employees couldn't tell me more.

Same. I don't like buying stuff from a movie I haven't seen yet so I didn't bother in November. Of course, I now feel bad for not being able to pay for Elsa. I like her much better than the Elsa in March.
 
If you really want the classic dolls you could try ringing the Disney Parks merchandise line? 1-877-560-6477
A few days ago DTD in WDW had them, I also saw them in a few stores at Disneyland last week so you never know...
 
Frozen beat the lion king in terms of its original release ( which honestly, I think is the only thing that should count) , but it hasn't beaten it if you include the lion king's re-releases. :/

A French friend of mine have an extra set of the November Anna and Elsa limited dolls in new condition.
She would like to trade them with European traders only for the following dolls: Belle LE, Tiana LE and Rapunzel LE.

It's simply crazy.
When I saw that the two dolls reached 1000 USD (and above) on ebay (and that they're actually sold for this price) my jaw dropped. It's crazy.
The last few weeks, my husband insisted that it's just a bobble, but when he saw these prices Yesterday he caved in and got them for me on yahoo! auctions (Japanese auction site), not cheap, but a lot cheaper than ebay. Once the movie reaches Japan, we feel pretty sure that the prices will rise just as much in Japan. We had to act.

Maybe the prices of the November dolls will go down a bit, once the hype is over, but looking at the current price... even if they got 200 USD cheaper... they would still be extremely expensive.

Looks like I'll have to go to the other one near me but this was one was my favorite and the cast members knew me there. Didn't someone else say there's was closing too? I wonder why they are closing more again all of the sudden.
 
I have to agree that I think lion king is over rated :lol: I like the movie and enjoy it but I don't understand why it's hailed at the best ever :lol:
 
Please don't say that "The Lion King" is over rated... I am still so impressed by this movie even 19 years after...
I don't know if it will be the case with Frozen...
 
I don't think Lion King is overrated, it is an outstanding film and musical and while I think Frozen is amazing, I don't think it is better than Lion King. Lion King as well as The Little Mermaid and Beauty are the best of the best when it comes to musicals. I do really hope that Frozen wins the Oscar for best animated film and I hope the rumors of an attraction at Disney World are true. :)
 
I also don't think The Lion King is overrated. I still think the music of the renaissance movies was far superior to anything one okay (although Frozen is a leap in the right direction) and I think traditional animation is superior (and more impressive) as well.

But I love Frozen. Went back to Walmart and bought those stickers.

+1 <3 Frozen is good, but almost nothing beats the music of the Disney Renaissance <3

edit: omg p.s. guys Aladdin is tooootally on the same level as all the Disney greats, e.g. BatB and TLM for me LOL <3

Yes, they closed a lot of stores simultaneously. We weren't supposed to talk about it, but I didn't know that at the time, but now that the announcements are public we can say. They are opening some new IP locations in areas that stores are being closed at. Others are not. They are moving towards a bit more of a "fancy" more park-like model for stores, and are pushing a lot of sales on to the Disney Store.com. If you live near a Disney Store, I urge you to attempt to make in-store purchases before seeking out items online. I do fear that someday physical Disney Stores will either be non-existant or very few in number.
