Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Anna will be inducted in her coronation dress and Elsa in her snow queen dress. It makes sense to have them in their princessy dress.

Matthewlondon, id say go for Anna. He snow gear outfit is definitely the most iconic, I mean, look at all the posters! I also believe that snow gear Anna looks so much better than coronation Elsa.

Honestly, I am not too worried about Aurora. She's not as famous as Cinderella and Ariel. Heck, most people know her as sleeping beauty; they don't even know her name.
What I am worried about maleficent. Not because of the edition size, but because of the doll herself. Is she going to be modeled after Angelina Jolie? Or are we getting 2 different dolls? Which sounds unlikely.

I can only get one of the dolls. I'm thinking I'll go for Elsa, since I prefer her face. It really looks like her character. However I have a feeling it's going to be tough to get (despite what people say) they hype for the movie is mental. Even my non disney collector friends want to 'get a piece of the action' so yeah what will be will be!

Don't know about Anna's coronation dress in the parks tbh... of course this can change but last I heard - that picture of the face character that was going around was just a photo of a photo backstage somewhere, the costume was made but never purchased by any of the parks around the world, so it may exist in the future but as far as I know no park has it.

I also feel like their coronation could even be in Norway (the country not the pavillion) to push Adventures by Disney - like how Rapunzel's ceremony was in London.

I am going to try to get the coronation Elsa, just in the hope that I can then trade her for the snow queen one as I missed the release in November :( But think the snow queen one will always be worth a lot more ahhhh!
Please don't get her in hopes of trading her, because the value of Coronation Elsa will never match the value of Snow Queen Elsa - both due to the edition size and the fact that the snow queen is her iconic outfit.
Only get coronation Elsa for your own collection - or... of course you can get her and sell her for a higher price to get money for the snow queen Elsa, but to be honest, a trade is probably not going to happen. But, I do wish you the best of luck in getting the snow queen. I truly do.

Wow thanks for clarifying that milaya, the restrictions on the UK site are great but I do hope that they never do that to the US one because of Disney Store's track record of losing items or stuffing up the postage processes so restricting it to one per person per household can be a little harsh.
Yeah, whole Europe is having the one pr. household rule. Same with Tinkerbell. Guess they try to avoid too many scalpers that way.

There's certainly faults in the US system. Looking at ebay, one thing is people putting up the dolls before they even have them, another thing is the fact that certain sellers keep selling several sets - I swear one seller have sold at least 10 sets of the pre-ordered March dolls. They got all these sets just to sell them for higher price and they're pretty much stealing them from other people who really wanted them for their own collection. This makes me angry.

I mean, there's always going to be scalpers, and if they want to buy one or two sets for selling, I don't care. But 10-20 sets!!
For me, that's crossing the line.
I would like for this craze to be over soon.
But it seems like it will just continue, considering how many auctions there are for the fairy dolls.

I agree. It's not a fair trade. There are A LOT of people wanting to do this on the FB pages and I think they will be dissapointed. I've even seen people wanting to trade both March Elsa and Anna for Nov Elsa and there were no takers. Like I've said before, most people (including myself) who have Nov Elsa already have the March set on order.

what do you think would it be fair if I trade coronation elsa for coronation anna??
That depends on the person, looking past the fact that one of them is limited to 2500 and the other 5000, then I guess it's pretty individual - depending on wether one likes Elsa or Anna the most and whether one cares for the edition size. Prize-wise, I think they're also similar - or will be.
I would say that if you get coronation Anna for Coronation Elsa, it's a nice trade.
Both are gorgeous dolls nevertheless.

Had the same thought but to echo other people, it won't happen. As a collector, it's not entirely an equal trade. SQ Elsa has a lower run and a much higher demand than the vanilla Elsa. If the demand was significantly less then it may have been possible (even with the smaller run), but right now it's not equal as sad as it is. Be willing to still add extra money ontop at the very least, or if you can sell it for a higher price then put that money towards SQ Elsa. I think most will think to do this, potentially driving the cost of SQ further skyward! on the other and that could also hurt the resale value of March Elsa.

So many March Frozen dolls will be sold on Ebay. I am sure that their price will decrease...
Lot of buyers did multiple purchases in order to avoid problems like loss or flaws but also for reselling or trading them for the November release. As it will be impossible to trade, all of them will be posted at the same time on Ebay, as never seen before I think...

I am sorry but I would like to see some order restrictions also on DS.com like two purchases only by household.
In Europe all the extra purchases are cancelled extremely easily in order to satisfy more collectors... And we also have a lot of problems like defective products, shipping problems or wrong items sent.

I also think the US needs to add restrictions - 1 per household might be a little too strict (what if two people in the same household want the dolls...?), so think two purchases per. household would be the best way to to go for the US - the amount of scalpers getting the dolls from the US is too overwhelming, like I stated in an earlier post.

The strict restrictions in Europe is probably also why the dolls tend to last longer before selling out.

I agree. I honestly don't see why a collector would need more than two each of the same doll if you're not giving one to someone else. If I could afford it, I'd buy one to keep mint and one to open and play with.

I doubt Disney here in the US would do a limit per household, they don't care about who gets the item in the end, just about them making their $ in the beginning. If they did truly want to make a limit, they could just increase the price in the beginning.

For the March pre-sale, the sellers don't have to pay the $ til it ships but they get the $ from their buyers before hand.

but that's MHO.

I was only allowed to choose between Elsa or Anna at my Disney store. They said they want to give everyone a chance to get a doll.

I can't imagine that there were that many people that wanted them in Charlotte.
I lived there before Okinawa and the Disney store was never the crazy place to be, even at christmas time.

Whaaaat? That's ridiculous! I mean, I get that their heart is in the right place but that's just crazy. Especially since they arguably "split" the sets. Since you got Snow Queen Elsa in the first set and Coronation Anna you technically don't have a matching set unless you have all four or one from the first and one from the second.

That was just pre-orders though, hopefully they'll have some extras at the store on the actual release day. I've seen it go both ways though.

Oh I litteraly can't wait until March 18th. I finally made my mind up and decided to go with Anna. She will look great next to my Snow Queen Elsa. I hope it won't be chaotic!

I did hear about people in the US being forced to chose between the two - which I think is not following the rules, since it's normally one of each. And since not all stores had this rule, it's unfair.

mhm, same with my store. It was quite a shock. I emailed guest services about the march release, and my specific store, and asked if they were allowed to make you choose. They sent back confirmation that for the march pre-orders I could get both at my specific store.

Which store did you go to? I've only been to the Pineville one for the designer couples release (my sister and I got both Anna and Elsa's online). But when I went there, they wouldn't let you look at the couples dolls before you bought them. You just had to hope nothing was wrong with them...

I got Ursula yesterday and pictures don't do her justice! I wasn't keen on pictures but got her at a cheap price and wasn't sure if I'd like her, but I am very impressed. I actually prefer her to Ariel. Out of the ones I have so far, blonde Rapunzel, Sq Elsa, Ursula, Cinderella and Ariel, I think Ariel is my least favourite.

Very excited to get Anna to go with my Elsa:) Elsa is lonely lol.

I was wondering about this... I pre-ordered the March Frozen dolls at my store and wondered if they let you look at your dolls for damage, flaws, etc. when you pick them up. I've heard so many people who ordered online say they received damaged dolls.
