2014 Designer Dolls - Fairytale Collection Part II

I'm also curious to see how well these dolls will sell. I imagine most of the demand will be from scalpers. I STILL haven't decided if I'm getting them and the release is a few days away. They're pretty, for sure, especially Zarina, but I'm not into the fairies franchise. I think I'll swing by a store on my lunch or after work to see if thye have any left and buy them if I like them in person, but I'm not scrambling to get them, that's for sure.

However, for all the fairies fans, I hope these do well enough for the line to continue.

On another topic in this thread, I loved Planes. That probably has to do with maturity level, though, because it appealed more to kids than adults.

I'm excited that there'll be a sequel!

I get what you mean I'm not as excited as past doll releases either but I am still going to try and get Tink.
I think I would be more excited if I had seen more pictures! I love the stock photos, but that picture that got leaked I hate lol, I hope it looks like the stock photos haha.

"Are you ready for some big Disney Doll news!? The second (DFDC) Designer Doll Couple Collection has officially been confirmed the collection will release this spring/summer
1.Tiana and Prince Naveen,
2. Aurora and Philip,
3. Pocahontas and John Smith,
4. Mulan and Shang,
5. Cinderella and Prince Charming..
I'm not sure if this is the release order or not but it is the order they show up in. Each couple set will be $129.95 just like last year. Also Disney Store got a UPC code for a 17'' Princess Aurora Doll that will retail for 119.95 no specific release date but I expect we will see this doll May/June, and maybe a preorder late March/ early April along with the Maleficent Movie ... 17'' Maleficent and Philip have yet to be confirmed..start saving your money now people!"

Also that is rather silly for whoever shared that on their page to mention anything about UPC codes as that is just outright telling the world where the information was obtained from. It looks like people have not learned from the Tink fiasco. As a result I fear that Disney may start putting in drastic measures to stop information from leaking...

Tinkerbell is released on February 18th
Elsa and Anna is released March 18th 9:00 am (I got the time from the Danish FB page, and since they're released on the same time in Europe, I think Germany will be 9 am as well - since we're in the same time zone).
Tinkerbell will probably also be on 9 am - but I have no information on this, sorry.

Milaya is correct, the dolls are always released at the same time as always it is always based on midnight in LA so when it is midnight in LA which is 8am in UK and 9am in France/Germany then that it was the dolls are expected to be released. Also the US usually does a different release for the designers to Euro as they separate the release between in store and online but Euro does not so for Tink the release will be 18th of Feb at 9am (in Germany) and for the Frozen LEs it is on the DS facebook page and is confirmed for March 18 at 9am (in Germany).

No yeah that is fair enough and I was not having a go at you as I know you were just reposting information from another source but I just wanted to point out that the information was not 100% just to warn people because their post does not state anywhere that it is speculation but they are trying to confirm it as fact. Also by them posting that it could result in Disney coming down even harder on CMs, it just annoys me that people dont think about what things like this can do to others. It is not like us knowing this information now rather than when Disney announces it officially will make a difference? Will it? It just means we get more impatient waiting for the release that we know is imminent LOL.

Then again I guess we already knew that we would be seeing a Designer Fairytale collection part 2 since last year when it was confirmed back then so I guess this really isnt exactly "new" news anyway but it does destroy the theory that this years designer line is a fairy one.

Hm.. You'd think that Disney would capitalize on Frozen by putting Anna and Elsa in the designer fairytale, but meh.

It'll be interesting to see what they're going to do with Cinderella and Tiana. I know a lot of people are getting bored of their "iconic" looks.
I'd imagine Mulan would be in her blue dress at the end of the movie.

I think that some people get so excited about being the "first" to "break the news" even if its not correct information. And that seems to be the case with this FB post. Its not any new information really as we have all heard DFDC was getting a second part, and we all thought we were getting an LE Aurora.

Im a huge Belle/BatB fan and she is my biggest collection, and YES Im so sick of everything of her being in the yellow dress. I know its her iconic/princess look but it would be nice to switch it up. Especially since for the better part of the movie she is in her blue peasant dress.

I also love Belle - such a beauty and yes the yellow dress is her iconic princess look - but like you say, it would be nice to switch it up a bit. I love her blue dress. Which also makes her animators' collection doll look adorable (my fave of them all) but even that they switched to that damn yellow dress I am very happy I got the first edition.

I would be happy to see her in her green dress, too, besides during a dinner wears the Beast a matching green version of his outfit - that would have been nice for the Designer Fairytale Couple Collection. Beast with a spoon (maybe some stains on his coat )and Belle with a plate.

I have been thinking about why they would leave Frozen out of the Designer release this fall. They may want to stay consistent with the original princess release, but it could also be that they had the designs and orders set before they saw how much of a hit Frozen would become. Wouldn't it be crazy if they did a surprise Designer release of Anna and Kristoff? It would be foolish not to capitalize on Frozen's success with a designer set. It's likely wishful thinking, but it would be easy money for Disney and a nice addition to my collection. I get that Frozen is mostly about the love between sisters (among other things), but Anna is a princess and she does fall in love....come on Disney....give it to us! Sorry for the stream o thoughts. Would you guys buy a designer frozen set?

I would definitely buy a designer Frozen set.

I still like to think that we may be a surprise Anna and Kristoff designer fairytale doll i.e they will release 6 instead of 5. Last year we technically had 6 with the D23 exclusive set.

I guess one positive way to look at is is that next year is going to be an expo year, which means that if they were to release an Anna and Elsa doll then having one released next year would be an amazing time to release them. Can you imagine having a D23 exclusive Elsa! I know that the designer line for the year no longer has much suspense as we know that it is going to be the DFDC part 2 line but that just leaves 2015 open to speculation and more potential for amazing dolls to be released.

I think both will still sell out fast, Elsa moreso than Tink. I think that whilst Tink will not be as popular as Elsa she will still sell out rather fast due to the fact that it is a designer release and they generally tend to sell out rather quickly as a result of scalpers buying them to resell them rather collectors buying them.

I know I keep trying to track that one down. I just started collecting DAC dolls and missed her and I dont want another yellow dress Belle.

I really want to see a doll of Belle in the burgundy outfit with the cape she wears outside during the snowball fight with Beast. Brass Key makes a doll with her in that dress, but its hard to find sometimes.

It's a really impressive dress with lots of detail (just found one on ebay to look at the pictures) but I would be happy with any other dress than the yellow one.
The red christmas dress is amazing, too.

guess my manager that I worked for was right in what she told me was rumored. And I know they find out at their conventions as they were at WDW, at the same time as we were there for pin event.
I have my vascular doctors appt on the 18th at 11:15, guess Jim will be going.
