6-10-11 Just received a call wondering if we knew what happened to the trading tables in front of Little Green Men and the barrels at Westward Ho. Anyone???

Also noted was 3 barrels over at DCA somewhere, but they couldn't remember where they saw them.

Any info appreciated.

Maybe they were having problems with Pin Sharks and decided to close the tables for a bit.

The tables have disappeared and reappeared before for some refurbishing and cleaning. It doesn't take long for the signs to be ripped off the tables, and for them to get all scratched up.

I'm not sure if this is the case, but just saying it's happened before.

The tables near LGM may have been taken away for the opening of the new and improved star tours to make room for the fast pass line that gets pretty crazy in the morning. Not sure if that is the reason but it might be.

I was just there last Sunday and the tables at LGM were gon but there were 5 barrels at the HO.
I cant imagine them removing all of the tables permanently as the cast members need somewhere to do their books.
Could this be the beginning of the end? There are always the tables at the Coke Pavillion, unless they start to say you have to have food to be at the tables.
What next?

I was thinking the same thing.

I doubt (hope) Disney wouldn't tell us that we couldn't trade by Coke Corner, at least at the upper level, away from the piano entertainment. Those tables don't belong to any specific food place. I've seen many other people (non-pin traders) just sit and hang out there, people watching, reading, etc. Also, the only time there are any real great numbers of pin traders there, that I've seen, are on Saturdays/Sundays, and we/they don't take up THAT many tables, there are still plenty available for those people who come for those other, er, "ride" thingies. :p

No, my friend, the beginning of the end happened a very long time ago. Sadly it is just becoming worse. They're hoping the old traders out there are gonna forget about the tables at DTD, the good 'ol summertime pin carts at each park and DTD, fun and affordable pin events in the parks, cast create a pins, artist choice signings, the super traders, books on Main Street and at PT Fleas. The beginning of the end was quite a long time ago, the bleeding is only getting worse.

Anyone still do trading under the pink umbrellas by Coke Corner? I think they used to be on Sundays?

They still do trading there. A trader pointed me in that direction last sunday... the shark tank she called it haha.

What exactly is she referring to when she says that? I don't get it.

I like looking over there more then say LGM or Westward Ho because those two places tend to trade mostly lanyard pins (in my experience) while the pink umbrella place usually has more Disney Shopping and Disney Auction (Older in general) pins.

Actually, the pin trading is not at the red and white umbrellas at Coke Corner. People are usually at the yellow & white umbrellas where you purchase annual passes.

I think I'm thinking of the same place. It's like in between the two?

*Take post with huge grain of salt*

I spoke with a cast member at Fly-N-Buy today about the new tables. They're actually pretty neat, tables with chairs. YAY! CHAIRS! Something that the HO was always missing. He said that the parks were working on getting the tables away from the HO to "try and get rid of the vultures." I'm not really sure how they plan that work, and sounds like an iffy plan to me at that. Complete hear-say, but that's what the CMs are saying.

Just got back from DLR. The LGM tables are gone and this area is for stroller parking for Star Tours. There are five tables at Westward Ho. They all have new signs on the tables on the Disney Pin Trading Guidelines.
