Destination D Merchandise update

It appears that this will only be sold at WDW at the Destination D event (cost is $190 for D23 gold and silver members, $250 for free members). The $1,000 Top of the World Package is sold out.

I wonder how many there were (Top of the World). If 200 packages, then I'd expect almost all pins to be sold to them (like most of the Designer couples pins were sold to Sorcerer package members who forked over $1500 for the D23 convention last year)

I was thinking the same thing, and I don't really want to buy a ticket and then not get any of the pins. Does anyone know how many Top of the World Packages were sold?

At the 2013 D23 Expo, the vendors were given first-in-line privileges before the Sorcerer passholders at the Disney Store. So, a large number of the pin sets were gone before the sorcerer passholders started buying.

hate me for saying it, but Rapunzel is ugly. the pin looks just like the open edition pins they have recreated a few times lol
I actually think Rapunzel looks a LOT better than some of the other Rapunzels out there. It is weird that she's standing on her hair though. And I've never been a fan of "realistic" characters wearing the sorcerer hat, just kind of weird to me.

I'm worried, too...would be pretty cool to know a number of how many Top of the World packages there are. Hope they do not make all of the pins available to them either way...and hopefully limit them to 1 per person in general. :/

It should be limited to one of each type per person. That's what WDI does in CA for their in store releases (unless they haven't sold in a while)

I hope so! I would be so bummed out going there and not getting any of the Sorcerer Hat Pins!

It all depends on how many top of the world VIP packages Disney sold at $1000 each and how much of a Disney fan they all are (it would seem you'd have to be a big fan that buys everything if you paid $1000 to attend a two day event)

Yeah that's my guess, too, but maybe some of them are not that much into pins, especially considering the topic of the event, maybe some older, nostalgic people? LOL wild guessing :D I'm just really hoping...and also hoping that there were only like 50-100 of those tickets.^^
