Early Release (August 2014)

I ran across a Gaston pin on eBay that isn't supposed to be released until August. The seller told me that Disney released the August pins early and that the pin isn't a scrapper.

Is there any truth to this? The seller seems reparable.

Yes, I'm in WDW right now and have found many of the August pins that are of the racks for sale. I got Gaston as well.

If its an open edition pin, yes there could be truth as open edition pins always come out early. for example, the haunted mansion donald and daisy are already out. They are on the disney parks merchandise pin page as slated for Aug 28th

I can tell you early release is quite usual in paris, so I guess it could be the case.
Oddly, back in the days they also released LEs one or two days earlier sometimes

Which other OE pins got released early? Specifically wondering about the Tangled pins, Villain Stretching portraits, and Herc&Meg.

At DLR I have seen: Vader on a Carousel (Pin Traders), Storm Trooper Pew Pew (Katz and Sons - DCA), Donald and Daisy Haunted Mansion (Pin Traders), and Jiminy Official Conscience (Pin Traders, Katz and Sons).
